Night Time Prayer

I'm gonna get a good night's sleep.

I'm gonna count some sheep.

I'm gonna go real deep.

Real deep.

Real deep.

Tomorrow when I wake,

I'ma walk round the lake,

Eat a muffin, drink juice, savor Rooibost tea.

It will be...all in fun,

His Will be done,

On earth and the seven seas.

And should I speak or hold my piece

The day will come when love is one,

on earth as it is in Heaven.....

Perhaps I'll wear my skates.

x

"Going deep"? Oh what does that mean? The depths of love.... I say its made of diffetent waves and extraordinary currents. It embraces and shows no mercy in its/loves undertoe. U cant fight it.....ur only hope is surrender my strength to riding with ur beautiful waves. I choose U....my LIFE. My everything My love.

Very nice, thank you. I like your interpretation also. I like your description of love as waves and currents. Reminds me of one time at the beach; I was body surfing and "playing" in the ocean. I thought I could manage the waves but quickly learned that the waves were managing me--LOL!

U could always go against the current but is it worth it? Is that living? Ummmm NO! I choose to get wet........all the way under. Even my hairrr! biggrin

funny, i've gone against the current most of my life and in many ways its worked for me. now...i'm picking my battles more wisely. in love i'd prefer to swim submerged with everything n the sea; where unique creatures thrive, gliding through the water in the pitch of night, seemingly suspended with the current's waves, water gliding across my body, eyes opened to the treasures of the deep, where low frequencies soothe the soul. The thing about getting one's hair wet is...once its wet, its wet; just have to prepare for what you're going to do with it afterward!

Thanks for joining in. You're no so much about Evolution, Natural Selection, then? The creatures in the video didn't make you wonder? Especially the Axilotl who has fins and legs? I don't believe it either; to me its hard to believe that overtime legs would just sprout--for what purpose, he's still underwater? I'm more inclined to believe that these unique creations are more like cooking--i.e., the first time you make a souffle it might not turn out exactly as you want, but try, try again.

I imagine it would be both starkly beautiful and quite amazing.

That's what is fascinating about the ocean; it is omnipresent, massive, powerful, transparent, muse-ical, graceful and artistic. It can give life and end life. It holds treasures and unlocks mystery. It is everything.

I believe when we love/in-love, we are captured by waves and subjected to 'bodysurf' with this sea of everything. The challenge always being the abilty to handle depths and adaptability.

It is a universe all to its self. And it makes up two thirds of our planet....WOW!

In love and the sea?.....a whole lot of complexities and depths, growth,beauty,exploration/wonder,life,death,resorrection power, its endless it is EVERYTHING!
But with everything it shouldnt be cautic. It does have a beautiful rythem and beat to it just like love can. The depths and growth and adaptability is the journey that i believe will never end because we humans our complex and ever growing so our depths of love grows with US - The 2 that becomes one in this rythem and beat. Its the merging of the 2 and their own individual uniqueness and giftings that only God can merge 2gether and keep as 1! But we/i have to choose to keep God at the center to keep the flow of loves harmony by day by hour by minute - He is the heart beat of our love. My love.
What keeps love?sustainslove?grows?forgives?fills?lifts?endures?
Takes us down into the depth of each other and back to each other? Keeps us while we each go through the refining - the doubt, hate, anger, fear, weakness, faithless, darkest depths of the sea? Only God! He is the only 2gether 4ever. What God joins 2gether let no man seperate. Because i believe this life is but a preperation for the nxt our true life 2gether with our heavinly father amen.
He is the keeper of my soul and i can only look to Him and His word to show me love and how to love for HE IS LOVE! and when i fall short of his love his grace is always sufficant and allows me to carry on!
The supernatural power of Gods love within me and U and the sea of everything!

Yes....Gods timing.
Gods timing and not my clock. Waiting on God is not always easy. Peacefilled but ups and downs highs and lows. i remind myself of life experiences when HE showed up with blessings beyond what i could of imagined and im encouraged.

I know im not alone.

no, you're not alone. it is hard to wait, but one only has to pay attention, appreciate, live life, have patience and faith and love always--that's what I think, and things tend to work out for the best.

In a room full of news

drinking exotic champagnes

--still had the blues

Dont get me wrong there was fun to be had

We made a soul train line

And a Conga chain too

At midnight there was me

and...no you

A flute of champagne, bubbles and all, could not quench my thirst

Not like your arms around my neck, tugging my shirt

The way you used to do

Long before our hearts turned shades of blue

I imagined you standing with me last night

in your favorite slacks and shirt pearly white

remembering the look in your eyes that very first night

When the both of us knew our love was all right

Come bathe me again like you did before

Let the water run down my back and onto the floor

Towel me off, rub lotion on my back

I'll turn toward you and give you some dap

Bring to me a glass of water

I'll drink it up like there is no other

my thirst will quench

and so will yours

The Love we make behind french doors

As my heart aches for the love I am missing

I stare out my window

Its getting late, another night in the dark

Alone again, yes it is true
This my friends is the New Year's Eve Blues

I'm gonna get a good night's sleep.

I'm gonna count some sheep.

I'm gonna go real deep.

Real deep.

Real deep.

Tomorrow when I wake,

I'ma walk round the lake,

Eat a muffin, drink juice, savor Rooibost tea.

It will be...all in fun,

His Will be done,

On earth and the seven seas.

And should I speak or hold my piece

The day will come when love is one,

on earth as it is in Heaven.....

Perhaps I'll wear my skates.

Tasty...

I've cried a lot with Billie Holiday - I am thankful you made me love Billie Holiday - I loved her already, but now I love her more, this is from you, how gifted you are..

Wow, that's really sweet of you and quite a compliment. I love the Soul she brought to jazz/blues too. I'm partial to that time period as the music was borne out of the struggles, triumphs and strength of the african american (women) and people of that day. I try to keep this in mind to have a good perspective on where we are today. Artists like Lady Day, Cassandra Wilson, Bessie Smith, Rosetta Tharpe, to name a few, exemplify the depths of the collective souls of african american people.

I am so ignorant on Jazz or Blues.. I am a 'classical music' woman! and a poetry geek.

Sir Prince is my only sin

I am African – half-cast but only from the African continent – and of course I grew up in Europe, these singers are very popular here - but not for the color of their skin or anything else than their talent.

European are magically open minded with artists, it is weird because racial issues are the same as american's and maybe more because of the denying... but their votes betray them..

I remember I was ashamed to say my name at school. Being a Woman and colored, This Is a real challenge.

I will listen to them; differently..

Many african american performers and artists toured Europe and found a much better "reception" than here in the U.S. Sadly, its not so far from current day trends. I'd also agree with your point about the contradictory race issue in Europe; I observed the same--on the surface the Europeans seemed more open-minded about alot of things; however, when digging a little deeper, its something much different--although I haven't made up my mind as to how much of it resides with a "nationalistic" attitude or race. I'll take your word as you've lived there and I only visited.

I'd like to think those great leadies of soul, sing for us all, enjoy!

>>>As I read this passage:

To everything thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time t keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. ~Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

>>>I was reminded of the posts on this thread:Which also speaks to the ebb and flow of life, love and purpose.

Yes....Gods timing. Gods timing and not my clock. Waiting on God is not always easy. Peacefilled but ups and downs highs and lows. i remind myself of life experiences when HE showed up with blessings beyond what i could of imagined and im encouraged. I know im not alone. fallinluv

no, you're not alone. it is hard to wait, but one only has to pay attention, appreciate, live life, have patience and faith and love always--that's what I think, and things tend to work out for the best.

Im with my sister this wknd. On the ocean and thinking about these posts re: the sea.

The sky looks so much like the sea today.
