Rose-colored Glasses I”ll never look at life through rose-colored glasses,
I’d rather see it for all that it is, for that is when I know "truth." Sugar-coated, false truths gives temporary comfort to the ego yet the "authenticity" of those truths will still exist How can one pretend all is grand and beautiful in the world, while turning the other cheek towards the reality of an existing, societal ill, and using denial in every form, as their saving grace, as though denial will project progress or change? Many exist in this world wearing rose-colored glasses, possibly protecting themselves from life’s "uncomfortable truths." A false security blanket-if you will-accepting what isn’t, instead of what is. Afraid to take their glasses off, in fear that reality will set in, and expose their soul to what they are not emotionally prepared to embrace,while simultaneously oblivious that the acceptance of what is-instead of-what isn’t, ceases the existence of false truths and brings forth a peace of mind.
