MY JOY...

Smear me, criticize and demean me if you will,
but you will have to excuse me while I take a moment to relish in my joy.
Yes, I know...it angers you to see me this way, it ruins your
day and keeps you awake at night as you ponder how to
destroy this wonderful feeling that consumes my soul
and blesses my life everyday...oh, don’t worry, your
misery and anger shall soon pass if one day
you discover the same joy that I have, as your discontent
will not bring you any closer to destroying my spirit,
turn my smile into a frown, cool the warmth in my
heart or possess the blessings I have been granted,
so in the meantime... please excuse me while I
relish in my joy.
