Snoopy's Ghost - audio sample, please audition & comment.

Here's some funky mess eye B'n cookin' up in the kitchen recently. It's called Snoopy's Ghost, and unlike it says in a song from an certain online music site eye used 2 subscribe 2, this beat won't "suffer TKO". It's called Snoopy's Ghost, 'cuz if U listen real close, U can hear the mouth harp he played in the Peanuts movies. I also managed to create a version of the Linn-era drum "electro" snare-crack. Just click on the link B-low, & if U dig it (or if U don't, but U will, so what me worry?), please let me know here. Pretty please? I'll give U a cookie if U do! hug

there most likely won't be lyrics to this. This will at best probably only have lyrical elements - not quite as basic as techno/dance music, but not very far from this. If anything, this song, with the others that will make up my first album, will be more like a soundscape.

Hmmm...I started thinkin' about this, and I thought of the lyric I posted here, called "Get Back On The Rhyme" - I think with some tinkering (to make the lyric a li'l mo' sexy), that could work out here. Take a look at it and tell me what you think?

Mm-kay. Help me out, then - what subject matter or topic would you talk about? The beat itself is definitely what I'd call "phat", and it event has a "whomping" sound. Lyrics might go in the direction of the old George Clinton "funk talk"...

so for the chant portion, I might do something like a 2-line chant: 1) "U want this?" 2) Let me in. - how's that?

I imagine it would be fun to try and do something like the lyrics on Purple Rain. I listened to that a lot during the end period of writing for my last book. Many of his lyrics there seemed Sufi-inspired - could be about God, a lover, or a parent.

oh, no worries there. it will be released, but these things take time. I am more glad that something I put here got some honest-to-goodness discussion. So if this is the close of this thread, I am feeling like I'm going in the right direction.

I ended up changing the name of the song to "Daisy Hill Funk Farm." It is going on my upcoming album, title TBD.

I tried man...THE FIRST TIME I heard it I was just adlibbing like Michael Jackson. The next I was singing "Yoke G.U.O.T.R."
And now that is stopping me from listening to it in another direction. Has that ever happened 2 u?

Can't say that it has, but that doesn't sound like a bad thing (in fact, it's nice to know I sound like ppl I hadn't conceived of) - what are a few of the lyrics to that track, tho, so I can get a clearer idea?
