purple & pink

surrounded in pink
the progression begins
the air is light
as the dance begins

it was given to you
you had to slice it
the moments pass too soon
as
each piece reveals more of you

as the moments pass
soon
the tension fades
like the sun into moon

I watched you dance
you watched me

and as the waves crashed before me in purple
I am sure I love you too

I dance to your sunset
Your waves the orchestra of my sea
you in my centre, my sky
Your reflection in the water flows toward me

I have these pictures of you
In minds eye, surrounded in pink
And on its borders it writes
'I love you' in purple ink
surrounded in pink
the progression begins
the air is light

I watched you from the waters shore
Your tides danced into ripples of the moon
The air sparkled with your reflection
Invoking a distant desert rose to bloom

I'm lonely and I really need a rain coat,
On this evening, I can hear all the souls of Paris,
Wandering so faithfully in the streets without a lover
I can hear the darkness beating inside me,
Like a soldiers drum.
Trying to lead all these wayward souls home
But I don't know where that is anymore
Use to be south of Montmartre.

I can hear you in my heart,
cleaning the remnants of wasted kisses
and promises stained from a thousand courtly dances
that have died in the dusk,
I shuffle down to the nearest watering hole
Looking to rescue you from the folds... of time,
But I rise and drink away my sorrows
And wait for you to carry me home.

Your silken voice is the sweetest poison
Hasn't killed me yet, but give it time.
I can feel you say that you're everything and nothing
My partner, my lover... If only you were here right now,
Together we can bask in the iridescent dimness
Of this candle before me, casting a light shadow into
the blue night where we drown in a sea of half-lit midnights
around this pale universe, Accrete into a star
and be bonded as one for all time.

What if
we say, what if....
should we spend our lives
repeating this?
wasting minutes, hours
days, and years
wondering what if.

Regret, a potent poison,
did we waste an opportunity
did fear kept us apart.
did we take a chance
and wish we never had,
not realizing if we hadn't,
we would never have known what
might have been?

Here we are
words still sitting on tongues
that were never spoken
stale air between us
that could have been
a breath of springtime
still waiting for truth,
not fear, to set us free
and when we tire
of what ifs.....

then what comes next?

of a lonely loveless Paris

I reach to touch you in this

of a lonely loveless Paris

Come to Cafe Seul L'ame
and join the star fire.
A league of parisian Princesses
Falling in that loveless void of Paris
That beckons all of us with a touchof grey
And a kiss of honey.
The City of love has been downsized
into a mere boulevard of broken dreams
We can walk through the ruins of romance
and watch the serpents gather the souls
of a thousand broken hearts,
Buried softly in a tomb, gift wrapped
for the morning star
But fear not love, yours they cannot touch
If they try, the waters will rise
From the river Seine, way over the levys
Wash away the horror, and cleanse our bodies
The whole town will burst aknew,
the sweet flavors of the people who passed
but still love you and I, will be release
into the world,
And we're lost in the wonder whirl
Still lost in a corner of Seul L'ame
Still lost in the oceans of your eyes
And i empathize, as i rest my head upon your naval
For all the events were imagined
just another fable
Kisses to for Sylvia Plath
We're sitting at her table.

my take biggrin

I found myself in a labyrinth
laden with ‘what if’ trees
With many signs pointing
to imagined possibilities

I got lost within its dreamy walls
with an illusion of something real
'What if' labyrinth only grew out of
the powerlessness you made me feel

Now that I know this
for you I have no room
And if you should ever cross my path
it would always be too soon

Never What If

"What If?" is the language of fallen lovers
Dear love struck juliet
you have not fallen yet.
Dear beauty you're facing a wall of confusion
A road that will never set you free
For the fallen will be nothing more than a dream
i know this, for i am the Rain King
I've bit the dying eyes of the desert sun
Watch the chaos erupt as i burnt my tongue
Each past love was a mere illusion
Of my pensive confusion
For the pattern broken behind my confusion
was the image of her with no resolution
I've search through all my contemplation
For that happiness from her sensation
Wandering "What if?"
Now Ten down trodden years have passed
And still i'm haunted by my wistful passed
another weepy eyed boy with no sense or solution
At bay in a flight among wings of confusion
Contrite to the sins stained on my soul
This "What if?" has taken full control of me
Don't let it control you.

Beauty of the rose you eclipse.
Every bud quietly away slips.
How can the rose compete with you?
Rose shines in moonlight, moon in your grips.

What if poems were really wishes waiting to come true ?
I might write a glorious poem about you.
What if wishes were like stars in the air ?
I could pick them out, and place them in your hair
What if falling stars meant disappeared wishes?
I would write another poem with new desires, tasy & delicious.
What if infinity really did exist?

nice poem

the link's a great exercise lol endless

what if cars could fly?
I might decide to walk
what if nothing was sweet?
I could water flowers
what if?
one "if"
proves us wrong?
I would decide to fly
Is this all a test?

Unlock the heavy prison door
and throw away the key
sun shines outside that door
rain comes now and then;
however, live we must
and take our every chance.
A freedom that certainly comes with some expense.

My humble response in silence

While you made righteous accusations
my lips were sealed
I went to a place beyond your scope
lands beyond your fields

I was the lesser friend you implied
yet you could not spell my name
“You are losing a beautiful friend” you cried
yet you asked my age again

My lips were touched, with silence
another world my centre
My existence you could not comprehend
my world you could not enter

I was still there as your friend
yet you only spoke of violence
While you were filled with tears
on leaving
I was filled with silence

Love Will Not Wait

‘Think that you can help it
You try to find a cure
You’ve never been so sorry
You ask for nothing more
One by one th’ cherries are
A-falling from your plate
Stop the clock ‘n’ give it up
But Love, oh Love, it will not wait

Away from all the noise
Deep in your empty room
Your resurrection voice
Serenades a distant moon
All the stars are wondering
What is it gonna’ take
‘Hurts a lot, you tie a knot
But Love, oh Love, it will escape

Dressed for a funeral
You never leave the house
With ev’ry second day
Another light goes out
Now, the life you led before
It was no piece of cake
But don’t quit, get over it
For Love, oh Love, it’s not too late
small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!
