HOW MANY MEMBERS DID NOT GET EMAIL FOR THEATER TICKETS!!!

I STILL have not gotten my email for the movie theater broadcast in the DC area. I have a friend who lives in the area who got hers but it had only had a link for a theater that is about 40 miles outside town (Columbia MD) when there is one a few miles from her address (Arlington, VA) that will be showing it. I have heard of people that live just outside DC getting not one but two emails with links to both theaters.

REPLY WITH YOUR STORY IF YOU DID NOT GET ANY EMAILS!

So evidently not only did NPGMC drop the ball in equally distributing the emails with the links but also does a poor job at sending the proper theater link if it does send one.

I have always been a staunch supporter of NPGMC but sending emails is too easy to excuse. I finally drove up to the theater and bought a ticket. I neglected to ask if they had sold many at that point. My guess is that a large number of DC area members did not get their emails and may just be finding out.

The distressing thing is that we were supposed to be the only ones that could buy tickets at this point. I walked up and bought a ticket like any non memeber could have since the theater has no way of knowing if you are a NPGMC member or not. So someone who doesnt belong to the club probably has tickets that members should have had the first opportunity to buy.

It is shit like this that gives NPGMC the bad name with some. I am disappointed for the first time.

The link that NPGMC sent me didn't work anyway. I bought my tix through Regal online yesterday, as any non-member could have. You have a right to be disappointed, but the links were worthless anyway...
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

You know it takes about 30 seconds to find the link on Fandango.com. I don't see what the big deal is. The posted everything up on their message board anyway. Drama.

How do you know it is on the messege board unless you are notified? That is the point. Members should be notified directly. I bought a ticket from a theater without proving my membership before the links where posted on NPGMC. That is the point. Members are supposed to have a exclusive right to buy tickets for the first few days.

I would not have known about the event if I didnt not read about it here. NPGMC failed to keep all members informed. That is not drama; ithat is wrong. I could have missed out completely if I wasnt up on all Prince news all the time. That is the point that I am making.

Did NPGMC claim they were putting up exclusive presales? They were just trying to get the info to us first, from what I saw.

The big deal is that some of us can't get on the message board. I'm on AOL and the messageboard s behind a firewall on my home PC. I don't see why the NPGMC haven't sent emails out to everyone. If it's done on where you live then that's pretty shortsighted as I spend 4 months a year living in the USA, so if I had not have recieved the email whilst being there and missed the presale, I would have been mightily pissed off.

Do you have Internet Explorer on your PC? Log on to AOL, open your Internet Explorer, then log on to NPGMC that way. It should work.

I didn't get an email, but I don't want to travel too far to go see a "movie" anyway. I'll just wait for the real thing.

THey do send them based on location but that stinks if youre closer to a location that is in another state. WOuld not it be better to simply send all the links and then let the fans use the ones that they need? Perhaps there is a concern for security and control. A scalper could buy up tickets all over the country from one membership account. But they ended up releasing all the links at once on the messegeboard anyway. I dont know.
