It doesnt matter how busy anyone is. It doesnt take a constructin crew to upload material. Isnt anyone in charge if that with a time line etc?

Exactly! Whether or not Prince and his band are playing shows should not have any impact on material being made available for purchase online. In fact, if anything, I would think that being on a national TV show would make it even more critical that he update that site.

And for the poster who mentioned "Plectrum Electrum," that doesn't count because it wasn't on 3rdeyegirl.com - it was on vimeo. Kind of a fun little track, and I would have paid for the audio, but for whatever bizarre reason that wasn't an option. The last Prince song that was put up for sale on 3rdeyegirl.com was "That Girl Thang," I believe, which was about a month ago.

Why not - at the very least - put up "Same Page, Different Book" and the other tracks that were uploaded to youtube but have not been made available for purchase? That requires no work at all, and would be somewhat unexciting, no doubt, but it would be better than nothing.

U all are asking and expecting 2 much from this site, is my conclusion

maybe he is ready to release an album

but our expectations are not going to make it happen any sooner

I don't know who puts the music clips up, maybe its Donna maybe its Prince

I'm in no rush because I hope he puts up his best stuff with lyrics that are really good

I agree,

I don't know how this site is being managed so

it's hard to say if Prince is rehearsing for a show ie Austin Texas and they are working on new songs

how much he's thinking about what to add or when to add to the site

..oooo Glamorous Life just came on the radio

he could just throw a live version of that he did last year up..or a Sheila live version..hell jeremy funkenstein got all those boots too...throw something up damn..we starvin'

lol i'm not

I dont want any dollar menu pieces

Im satisfied to save up for a 3 course meal

I've got to imagine that getting a 22-piece band ready for a 160-minute show took up a LOT of time over the last 2 - 3 weeks.

It was probably the same bunch he had in Chicago in September. And the setlist was about the same.

after lotusflow3r.com?? and 20Ten only released in a certain place

yes

I want him to take the time put out a good QUALITY album

some people want double albums and such, give me 6 top quality songs, promote it, videos, perform them like you believe it, and I'll be happy

Because 20ten came and went like the biggest let down, same with 3 disc LotusFlow3r, there was this build up and then just a little ploop it's over

Relax folks! It's only been a couple of weeks since the last update and the closest thing to Prince's official mouthpiece says there more stuff coming. We all know Prince isn't great with deadlines, but I'm positive we'll see more stuff sooner than later. Calling the site dead at this point is massively premature.

What's that mean? We got spoiled by how quickly things were coming at first, but a two week pause really isn't that long. The Internet sure has killed people's ability to be patient, huh?

What's the point of relocating this thread into this forum if it means that nobody is going to see it? I rarely check this forum. Pretty much only Prince: Music & More and Concerts. This Sites forum should just be folded into the regular Prince Music & More Forum.

My two cents anyways. But will anybody read it inside this forum??? smile

I've read the whole thread, sweetie. You folks are like cranky toddlers who need a nap. There will be more material on 3rd Eye Girl soon enough, but not until Prince feels like it. Most of you have been here long enough to know that. Armchair quarterback essays about what he "should" do are nothing more than a complete waste of time which aren't going to change a damn thing.

well it didn't pay off when he brought them to Chicago opening night, so why bother with SXSW where there aren't any discerning ears to pick up on what a trainwreck it is anyway.

As much as the 3rd Eye Girl downloads mean to us, if Prince is getting very little return ($$) then it's going to surely be a short-lived project.

I don't know how many hardcore fans there are, but let's say 10,000. The total cost of the 3rdEyeGirl.com offerings (if someone buys both versions of the Screwdriver video) is $13.24. That's only $132,400. At that price, would Prince think it's worth his time?

Let's say 50,000 fans -- which is highly unlikely -- that's still "only" $662,000. To us, that's a ton of money but to Prince it's probably one concert.

I think 3rdEyeGirl is not the end product of what is going on now. It's a promotional tool for whatever is coming next.

My last order number was 18405 for the Live Out Loud adio track. At that point he had grossed at least $16,196 on the site so far, based on an 88 cent download price (excluding higher price for the videos) for almost no real effort.

That isn't a lot for Prince of course and who knows what bandwidth costs are, but they are offering wav files, so he must not be too worried about that.

Anyway, it's not a ton of money for Prince but it's 16 grand for almost nohing in the course of less than a month so why not keep it up?

The ORG mind reading division is severely off their game. West coast dates have been announced from mid April to early May. Strange way of being "done".

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!
