I think if a project fails to show big #'s Prince just moves on. We've seen this endless times.

I've never signed up for any of his websites because his personality just doesn't fit the geek world.

To spend $77 on a website, t-shirt, and videos (that you can't really download...or not supposed to download) or spend $13 on 3 cds....I guess it's about what's important to you.

See, to me, the $100 for the NPGMC (both times) was well worth the money. The first time was definitely the best. New music every month was well worth it.

The 2nd time around, I enjoyed it also. We got the boxed set, ONA piano cd, and Xenophobia along with a few mp3s here and there. That, to me, was worth the money. Not to mention the concert ticket and soundcheck at the show.. This time, not much in return (so far anyway).

i agree....i was happy with what i got from npgmc for roughly the same money...
i got the albums which i enjoyed and good concert seat tickets.....that's why i was expecting some albums as well as the lotusflower release which i bought on cd import anyway....maybe i am looking for too much but when you compare it to other websites ...i dont think so...

To be fair, all he offered was a t-shirt, downloads of the albums and "exclusive" videos. That's all we've gotten. They then later came back and said that you could buy concert tickets. That has happened also, so, LEGALLY, he has fulfilled his CONtract.

I understand that. My issue was with WisdomNLove suggesting he can pretty much do as little or as much as he feels, or not have the site at all (or walk away... 'be happy the site is still up!'). Only an asshole would need to fall back on whether they had LEGALLY delivered to their fans. They should want to do something really special with the site to give the loyal fans a real treat. Prince doesn't seem to care.

My biggest gripe is still the choppy video quality, ..and its not my connection or my computer, i have no such problems with any other multimedia on the net.

I have yet to join and just keep checking in to see if I am missing anything. Well if I lived in Minneapolis and got a change to see him play live a couple of weeks ago I would have saved $8.79. That's the only new benifit that I have heard so far. I want to join but I don't want to end up pissed. I don't like being pissed at anybody or anything; who does?

I didn't participate in the poll and I'm a happy customer.
I only recently joined, couldn't make the French concerts but I have still 10 months of membership so I expect to see more come my way.

Unless we get something major added like an album of outtakes then this will go down as the worst thing Prince has ever done.

I think it will be disgraceful if at the end of the year we haven't had any major updates to the site considering the the suggestion before hand and all the talk of 10 album of vault material ready to go.

I never expected 10 albums but I did expect lots of never before seen videos and a couple of full concerts at

Out of 10 so far the site for me gets a 2.

The additions in the last few months are still just morsels compared to what they suggested would be on the site.

However it can't be judge until the year is up and I still have a little hope.

I think it can be judged now. Prince is well aware of how much he's ripping his fans off, and he certainly knows the anger and frustration that the site has caused. He WANTS his fans to be upset. If he didn't, he would do something about it. I think he might, just might, add some more content at the end, but at that point it will just be one more fuck-you to the fans.

4 me-its rescued my Lotus opinion a little

finally-the vids in good quality and sounding great on my home cinema

we should've been able to do this freely and easily from the get go

Any official unreleased material being made available for members to download would end up getting to non-members almost straight away anyway so wouldn't people still feel ripped off?

I think he should stop worrying about websites and concentrate on albums and tours. If he wants to release some old vault stuff then do it the regular way, for everybody. No people sharing, no people feeling suckered, less illegal copying, just music in the hands of whoever wants to go buy it.
