I`m sick of every1 complaining about NPGMC, U`re either a fan or not. Its only year 2, no business gets everything right at the beginning and anyway there is still November, December, January and February 2 go. One day U`re saying dont join next year and if u wakened up in the morning and at U`re front door theres 3 CDs in U`re letter box it would be the best club in the world, u either support Prince or u dont, and after all its still October,the year is not up.

HolyRiver im in agreement with ur statement, we r suppsosed 2 b Fams. The voice of disrespect sounded by Savannah is insulting and ignorant. We r the new power generation, we wanna change the world, the only thing thats in our way is U...The npgmc is value 4 money, its all about a relationship between fan and artist and its working...listen not 2 the negativity spoken of by the mouth of detractors, the club is worth every penny and will continue 2 become better and stronger in the months and years ahead it has its problems and faults but the aim is correct, the plans r in place and it will only progress

I dont think its a simple as being a fan of Prince if you like the NPGMC. Prince for me is,what,25 years worth of music not just the last 2 years which,in my opinion,has been just anther one of his ego trips which will pass. What Prince doesnt seem to understand (and maybe Holyriver doesnt either) is that Prince only has teh fans he does now because of those many years so,for the NPGMC to write that ridiculous commentary,is like trying to deny the past happened. Without the Batman Soundtrack (his best selling album),without the catchy records and without the guidance of a large record company ushing him in the direction - no one would have ever heard of Prince and,therefore,the NPGMC wouldnt exist and Prince would have been able to release TRC which he thinks is amazing.

The shame is that,in a way,Prince doesnt exist anymore...well not the Prince that many people would recoginse and long to see. Developing yourself is one thing,and he's quite entitled to do what makes him happy,but to turn his back on all the previous years and to say he could have done it better alone is just arrogant...seems he finds it easy to bite the hand that fed him now that he's not hungry anymore!!!

So YES,i am a Prince fan but Im not a fan of Prince & NPGMC

I honestly beleive that the club is winding down as we speak. Its exactly the same as the NPG shop - I ordered something,it didnt arrive,I went to Camden and the shop was a tip and virtually empty but they told me it was because they were redecorating...it was closed within 2 more weeks.

Doesnt it sound similar to the NPGMC - no one replies anymore,they cant say when the cd might be here and no mention of the future etc.

Bein' a fan doesn't mean u have 2 agree on just ANYTHING the artist ddoes & says. Still eye really think & hope that NPGMC is here 2 last long. If u consider the MP3 files + the Ahdio Shows unreleased, live & alternate trax + TRC + Rave SE + the videos, it make something like 10 70 minutes long CDs 4 $100 + the guarantee 2 have new music every months. Now we r asked 2 pay the same price 4 less than half of it, & the worse is we have 2 wait 4 months b4 anything comes.
So eye can understand people complaining & eye also do. That doesn't mean eye dislike NPGMC or eye don't believe in it or eye won't renew, but it's a bit frustrating 2 c how year 2 is a failure (unless, maybe we eventually have 9 more CDs) compared 2 year 1.

Eye am still a fan, but now since the NPGMC club, it makes U think about how U miss out on everything. Prince wanted to fight 2 give his music 2 his fans. But now his has only giving his music 2 people who R fools 2 join his club. What about everyone else? Not everyone can afford $100 a year 2 join a club.

i'm a fan. always will be. i don't feel ripped off. i like ONA. it's not the greatest thing he's done but it's cool, nonetheless.

i admit i was frustrated by what less than satisfactory information from the club, and i think the club could be run differently. i hope it doesn't close forever.

maybe a change in format would enable prince to direct market with his fanbase. if he could get enough capital to launch it, a healthy retail offering on his website would allow everyone access to his work, and memberships could still be available for those who want perks. if he were to simultaneously offer new releases and old vault material he'd be able to steal business from the bootleggers.

maybe the NPGMC could consider giving discounted memberships for year3 to those individuals who feel totally disenchanted with year2?

Being a fan of Prince should not make you stupid. There are people here who feel ripped off and it doesn't make you any less of a fan. Sorry to some of you here, but Prince CAN do wrong. It's purely human nature. He is not perfect. Maybe when he stops touring, he can maybe pay attention to his club and give the fans that have supported him their props.

Maybe he should cough up an end of the year DVD !
