Lotus Moving on....how can that be a bad thing?

So i'm a bit troubled by the fact some folk seem to not like the fact that Lotus are making an effort-and we (the moaners have stopped moaning a little

that seems to annoy some of you.....!

but thats what happens with Prince-long tern fans know this. He does something we don't get or understand-we get annoyed-then more music comes-and it kinda shuts you up-at least for a while. Thats what happens to me anyhow

I'm not saying the 2 new adds have wiped out all my concerns with Lotus-but as they obviously have made an effort-and a good one-i'm happier-and i like the tee shirt-im not gonna say i dont cuz it took an age to get here-i have it-so i move on

they add something good-i move on from constant moaning

and another point-in my opinion-these folk annoyed at the mo-seem to WANT Lotus to fail so will poo poo everything now

what the hell is the point in that

i moaned cuz i want it to work

for myself-its not just the 2 new vids. This week-i have got to hear some recent gigs .....Amazing-pure annd simple-and it made me think

all this time-i've been freaking out-Prince has just carried on doing what he does. And doing it very well too.

i do think he knew our feelings-i do believe we annoyed him-i also believe he seems to be over that somewhat-surely that has to be a good thing.....

so-im gonna try and go with the new flow-and leave the past where it belomgs-for now-and if you think im a fool for that-well it kinda says alot more about what makes you tick than me

You forget that there are also the long time Prince fans that realize Prince does things when he wants to do them, and being a fan is not for the faint of heart. I must admit that I was getting frustrated with the T-shirt thing, but I never gave up and when mine did come I was happy and really liked it more than I thought I would have. The reason we have stuck by Prince through the years is that although he does disappoint at times, you KNOW that when he does come around you will get that good, feeling that he always gave you since you started loving him in the first place.Isn't that what it's all about? Nobody can do it like Prince and we know it. If you feel his music in your gut, that's a fan. Haterz don't know nothing about that

Most people are upset about the lack of content for $77. A T-shirt and album downloads (which are only 1 track different from the Target version) are not worth that money, sorry. The videos are nice, but are not great resolution and are not downloadable (per se) like they should be.

But I'll go a step further and say that what is really disheartening is the lack of any updates, even free ones. Meaning, how hard would it be to have a "News" section that is updated at least weekly? Or, if something is coming up, how about letting us know that?

i'm still TRYING to convince myself that it'll all be ok

and-after over 2 months of nothing-i'm hoping the new add's are the beginning of better days

but we'll see-i was very impressed with the Montreux adds though

Instead of being on here-reading ALL the Lotus comments-getting wound up-posting more moans-I've been there-and watched alot of the vids properly-and there is some great stuff on there. There is a good 45 minutes of cracking performances-and not including undertaker or sacrifice

but its not as dire as it seemed a couple of weeks ago-when i was still waiting on my tee-it hadn't been updated for 2 months-and we thought it was dead and we'd been robbed

i think i'm off their mailing list now-which im probably not shocked at but am a little dissappointed with that-i wasn't rude in my mails to them-but as long as they keep adding stuff as cool as Montreux-or the coachella vids-cool by me

I'm not gonna lie here-i think the fact that in the last week or so-like alot of others-hearing the latest shows has helped me chill out and actually get back to enjoying the music again-and im glad for that cuz moaning is a drag-especially when the folk that you want to hear it aint listening.....

I actually long for the days of Sam Jennings and 3121.com. There's no delicate way to put this, but Lotusflow3r.com sucks & it's an utter waste of cash.

i am soo pissed off with the pathetic excuse for a 50 pound website that is lotusflow3r.com that i cant even be bothered to look anymore....2 new clips..wow....i was looking for unreleased albums and FULL concerts for that kind of money....i cant be arsed with prince anymore....sorry

All I know is that I'm not uping another dime for one of Prince's whims, or ideas or experiments or whatever one wants to call them. For those that have it to have someone play games then more power to you, good luck and enjoy your journey. I'm still a fan for the most part, and when a cd comes available I'll buy if there aren't a whole lot of strings attached, outside of that I have other things to do with my money then to play guessing games with a rich man.

I'm never support another Purple website faze.

What gets me about the site is that there was so much hype surrounding it. Hell, the man even had purple carpet parties to hype this thing up. What was up with all of the private viewings with the press?

I'm trying to wait to see if something "bigger" or "better" will happen with the site. This is the first time I have ever really felt "screwed" by P.

I'm not going to say I won't support his web endeavors again. I love the man and his music too much not to.

It has one year to deliver additional material. It is an annual membership.

There was no regularity for new music to be delivered (i.e monthly etc) or in fact, for the site to deliver anything other than the 'Lotus' set, videos, T-shirt and photographs. Of course, one hopes for more material and there was the (by now infamous) report that the web sites representative had archived '10 albums' worth of unreleased music.

Material like the live at Montreaux and Coachella are the type of videos I love to see. Some MP3's to go with these and/or a full live album would be great.

I got my T-shirt here in the UK this week and that is no bad thing.
