T-shirt email from Lotusflower.com

Hi all, just got an email asking me to check my credit card details as I am about to be charged for postage and packing for my 'founder's member' t-shirt. Am I right to be insulted by the added expense bearing in mind I've paid $77 for a website that offers little more than previously aired footage of Prince and three albums I could have picked up for cheap at a wrecka stow?

Hey...NO! I feel exactly the same... just posted this on two other threads, thanks for starting this one..

Oh charming! I've just been sent a message from lotusflow3r.com saying that the T shirts have been created and are ready to ship. BUT, apparently I need to log on to the site and update my credit card details because I'm going to be charged $7 for shipping! I thought the T shirt was PART of my membership, I mean £77 is quite a lot of money already! I can't believe they're charging for that too....Wow! It had better be good.

I can't help feeling pretty insulted and pissed off to be honest! I don't even NEED to update my credit card details either as far as I know, and the amount of time it takes to get into the site, I don't really feel like checking either lol

Oh, and it's not really the money, and I'm not mean at all, it's just... confused

I dont understand why your upset the LF site clearly stated there would be a shipping charge for T's that were to be delivered outside of the US...

Atleast they haven upped the charge! wink

I don't remember that. I can't even remember if we had a choice of receiving the T shirts or not...? Maybe in the initial excitement we all just signed up merrily, but the site isn't much to write home about, and as BoySimon says, we could have purchased the albums for a lot less elsewhere. Oh well, I hope it arrives soon, or he pops over to London to do some small intimate shows, with reserved VIP tix available on the site for maximum £20 ... biggrin

The colossal failure of Lotusflow3r presses on.

There is not one single thing, not one, that they haven't f'ed up since the site began.

And, why are people outside the US being discriminated against...? Hmmm? I take it there was no shipping charge within the US ... so we've now been charged at least $84 for 3 albums (one would have done actually) and a T shirt! eek I was actually defending my decision to sign up to the site a few weeks back, but I've kind of changed my mind.

I really welcomed Prince having a website but unfortunately Lotusflow3r is disappointing. Especially the lack of information about the upcoming concert dates etc. I did check it over the last couple of days and realised i haven't visited it for over a month, mainly because it takes such a long time to log on and when you do it seems lifeless.

I got the overdue T-shirt email but would have welcomed an email in the lead up to the upcoming dates at Montreaux. I understood that keeping everyone informed about things like gigs was exactly what an artist's website was for, especially a website that people have paid to subscribe to?

Anyway, I guess it's only worth hoping for an improved site if I take the time to express my views directly to the LotusFlower website, which I've done today. Maybe if they get to hear directly some or the concerns people are expressing on the Org etc, they can take them on board and hopefully make some changes.

On a lighter tip!...Enjoy Montreaux everyone! (-:

The Lotus site has turned out to be a sham. I feel for you and others that paid $77 and gotten basically nothing of vale for it.

Hmmmm...? How helpful of them?!

Maybe the support team are trapped inside the dark Abyss that is the Lotusflow3r website... cowering behind the portable telly, tired and demoralised from lack of permission to freely express themselves, barely able to see (cos it's so flippin dark on there!) and desperately trying to summon up the energy to push a lonely piece of tumbleweed across the black crater to signal for help...just a thought?

I can understand that there was shipping charges for outside US as it is US based site.

But I do feel that us outside the US should have got the same pre-sales that the folks in LA got a few months ago.

I am surprised theres no updates on there since the Opus - even if it was just to say how quick the Montreux tickets sold out!

I thought there were tickets for those 3 gigs in one night on sale on the website as well as maybe something for the Leno show(s)?

I clearly remember paying $70 for membership and also another $7 which was the fee applicable to international members for delivery of the optional T-Shirt. Members in the US were to receive free postage.

So what's this rubbish about paying $7 for delivery. It was already paid at the time of becoming a financial member.I've checked my credit statement.

The subscription to the site was $77(US) for one year. The t-shirt was free, but if you were outside the US, you could either pay extra for the t-shirt shipping or opt out completely. US shipping was no extra charge, but you could still decline the shirt.

there is no fucking way i will pay $7 for a t shirt I dont even want. I've contacted the bank and asked them to block this charge. $77 was for a 1 year membership, 6 months on and we have nothing of value - I will be watching carefully if we receive anything in the next 6 months - but I highly doubt it. Prince, this is STEALING - you are a JW and should know better.

My credit card runs out in 2 months. It was 2 months ago when they last sent me a mail saying my T-shirt would be on it's way shortly. If I knew the month they planned on charging my card, I could do something about it. I have every confidence I won't see it any time soon.

Wendy & Lisa shipped me an LP from the US in around a week. With their CD autographed too. If Wendy & Lisa can do it, why can't the guys who run Prince's website ship a T-shirt in 5 months?
