For those who haven't subscribed...... I haven't parted with the $77/£52 as I wanted to wait....and have been dissapointed to hear whats on there!

77 songs new/unreleased songs in lossless or high bit-rate format. A buck a piece is fair market value. This would not include the already released Lotusflow3r tracks. Prince can pull all of the videos, photos, poetry and flashy gobbledygook off the site first if he wants. I don't give a rat-fart about that shit.

I'd say the video section is a complete and utter joke.. Low grade videos.. and most all of them is digital dust collectors..

It costs $77 for a site membership where most people will already have the albums - the only reason to join. This is such a bad deal its unbelievable. So it must be. I think there must be some big surprises coming up..... maybe once Prince closes registration to any new members. That would teach us not to believe!

I have been a dedicated fan of the purple one since I was 10 years old (I'm 40 now) and my awe will never die. Site or not. I haven't joined because in doing so I feel selfish (I am married and have a 3 year old son) as times are tough. I don't want to take away from my family in any way. But honestly, I would be hesitant even if I had the money, as I still feel "burned" from the last site I payed for. Yes, $25 bucks wasn't much, but still.. Once bitten...

Lot of new releases are well under £10. Prince certainly deserves to get paid but your cd costings are not correct. Maybe Prince could've considered NO subscription fee but have fans pay per dloadable file i.e. for each album, video stream etc. that way maybe more casual fans and hardcore fans alike would have gladly parted with their money with product they actually wanted. For those who bought new release from target what reasonably priced product have they actually bought. IMO not a lot....yet. But, IMO, ppl will get to the site through curiosity, see the subscription cost, then decide not to bother...such a wasted opportunity IMO. | |
