Beware of "possible" Prince Opus I-pod Fraud scam!!!

With the release of the Prince Opus, a lot of fans will undoubtedly be searching the web for any info on additional footage from the 2100.00 I-pod. There already are some sites out there with links to supposed downloads as well as other things. There is a chance that this is a scam, targeting people who have ITunes on their computer, then charging your ITunes and bank account for a “gift certificate(s)” priced at 50.00 each.

While these mysterious charges have not yet been identified as Prince-related, there is a good chance that someone is targeting fans. Some charges have happened already and are being investigated. More info will be posted as it comes in. I strongly suggest that everyone to whom this could possibly apply, check your bank account, as well as ITunes. If you see something suspicious, contact your bank immediately. Good luck.

Where is any proof of this, any link? anything?

As I said, there is no definite confirmation that it is Prince-related; only good reason to believe that it is possible. That's why this thread is telling folks to be careful. It is not meant to accuse anyone... yet.

Semi-proof so far are two “unaccounted for” charges in a bank account tied back to ITunes for 50.00 each. The ONLY sites visited that day in any close relation to Apple or ITunes were Prince Opus related, but NOT the “official” Opus site. That’s why it’s important to read the entire thread.

Hope this helps.

Frankly, if you give up any personal information to sites other than ones "officially" sponsored by Prince and his bankers, you're foolish.
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Firstly... I KNOW you didn't just call me foolish, so...

Next, let me be clear... I gave NO INFORMATION to any site. All I did was click an IPod looking link that I thought may show additional content. No name. No email address. No nothing!

Finally... This is why I posted the info as a "possible" scam.

For future reference:

If you come across a link that looks slightly fishy, put your mouse over it and then look down in the bottom left hand corner of your browser - the address for the link should be there. And if you do happen to click on a link that turns out to be fishy, immediately go to the related account and change your password information.

What's the link in question?

Thanks for the tip...

There were two. Here is one:

I don't recall the other... Again, I'm not sure that my bogus ITunes charges happened as a result of these searches. It's just the only thing(s) I can think of that could be related to what happened to me on the 20th...
