Just watched the "DMSR" video. Loved it. Full of energy, and watched it without a problem all the way through. It was funny when Prince was messing with "Chance" and calling him a pimp, and then had everybody, plus 2 audience members dancing behind him. Really enjoyed that video.

actually that was Rev. Scott he was saying that to.

That's for correcting that, wasn't sure of the name, anyway it was a funny part of the video.

Could someone be cool here and and let us know which place in Detroit this was recorded?

I Would Die 4 U - Purple Rain Tour Live - I think this clip is from a DC show, early 1985. This is the official video. The original long version has the performace of 'Baby I'm a Star' with it.

DMSR clip from the Musicology Tour is from the Detroit show on July 31st, 2004. Prince originally did 3 sold-out shows at the Palace Of Auburn Hills. Those shows sold-out very fast. I went 2 one of those 3 shows. Actually, I went 2 the last of the 3 shows. After those shows sold-out, Prince then added another show for late july but, this time it was in Detroit at the Joe Louis Arena. This is that show.

I really enjoyed the DMSR clip, that was cool! This just a prime example of what's in the vault and another reason why that tour was great! I need a offical Musicology Tour LIVE dvd from Prince! This was cool! I notice there are some videos not availible like Uptown, Dirty Mind, and Somewhere Here On Earth. I wonder could we be seeing the entire clip of those videos? Or, could more videos be on the way? We'll have 2 wait and c.

Brit awards.
What songs did Prince sing on this performance? Sorry, I watched it, but Sheila E's breasts were distracting me and I lost all concentration.

Also enjoyed the "Sacrifice of Victor" video that's up on the site. Very long concert video, seemed like it was on for about 40 minutes, yet someone posted earlier on this thread that it was 10 minutes, but it is much longer than that, even though it kept "buffering" in between. Loved Mavis Staples and the Steeles in it, very spiritual and seemed like a mini gospel concert featuring them. Wish he would put up the "Willing and Able" video, but I'll be patient and just wait and see if that will happen anytime soon.

Okay, my apologies, The person actually said "DMSR" is 10 minutes long, not the "SOV" video as I mentioned in my previous post. Sorry about that. Yes, the SOV video on the LF3 site is actually over 40 minutes long. Loved the video.

Thanks for confirming that because it was actually over 40 minutes. Maybe when the poster first posted that msg, at the time the vidt may have been 10 minutes or it could have just stopped playing, as remember when the site first opened, people were having issues with the videos playing all the way through, and that's also when the vids were choppy and weren't playing right, so that may have been the issue, but I agree SOV video is a bit over 40 minutes long and I enjoyed it.

ok. thank u then. lol i thought they done went and shortened 'SOV' on LF more than it is now, that is.

Ooops, You responded before I edited my post. The poster stated "DMSR" was 10 minutes, not the SOV video. It was my mistake, not the poster's, sorry about the confusion. As SOV is over 40 minutes long.

This is a really great thread. One suggestion, although I am not sure how pratical it would be, can you add the date that any update occurs next to the update itself?

Yeah, so we have some sort of indicator of when a new update happens rather than having the read all the posts every now and again.

Nah, it's not my connection. It is the same at home on a new imac, on my powerbook at work. etc etc. And only in the last week or so since the site went https.
I have had no problems from the start. Used to work fine.
Dunno, strange. ?!?

Sorry back to the point of this thread. Any new updates?
No? hmmmmm..

Sure. Hey this Sticky is for everyone.
I have been wanting to do this as well, but trying to figure Clear way to post when it was updated also the most recent updates that have taken place were three times since the launch. I believe it was the date of when the extra videos were added, next was a new thumbnail photo and thirdly was the prince opus and minutes added to DMSR Does anyone have any other times the i've overlooked, please post, so we can add to the main list. would be greatly helpful. i'm going to work on this now. in the meantime i'll wait for a few others to see if i've overlooked anything.

also FAQs n News.

How about this: Change the title of the sticky to Lotusflow3r News: UPDATE ??/??/??. If people notice additional content, they can post about it and - at the same time - orgnote you about their post, so you can refresh the date in the thread title.

You can download the albums and put on a cd or mp3 player once you become a member of the site, but the site doesn't allow or give you the option of downloading the videos. You can watch the videos in full screen mode, and if you have a nice-sized computer monitor, it's like watching it on a tv screen.

Yeah... guitar and dmsr on the videos globe are GREAT. The musicology concert in general was such a great concert (even though I thought the finale with Purple Rain was a bit anticlimactic for me personally).

That version of of Guitar was smoking fun pop rock, and showed some muscle.

I couldn't tell xactly which concert it's from, but it's a from the autumn of 1984.
