lotusflow3r is Prince's gift to his hardcore fans

Agree or disagree? I am pretty sure he had good intentions with this site for his hardcore fans.

Being that musicians are vulnerable to the internet, I feel he is courageous to put his work out there again on the internet.

Despite the technical problems, I think the site is very creative and beautiful.
Hopefully things should get better from a technical standpoint.

For me, it all depends. If he follows-through on some great content throughout the year, then it will be worth it.

Trust and appreciation goes both ways. He's got to deliver.

In some wasy aI can agree.
If you mean `hardcore` as in 'camping out in the cold for tickets (do you remember 1995?), collecting multiple versions of a certain release, travelling to other countries to see the man, etc.
I don't mean obsessed of course.

The site combines with that hardcore thing because it was not finished, not 100% but working, some type of wandering and tinkering was needed and we can all get the shiny goods.
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Yes, I think he was hoping it would be a cool place and some of us do like the little search & find games. But, I don't think it's accessible or inviting to 'Joe Blow' in the least, at least at this point. If he wants the membership to grow (not that *I* want that, if there's ticketing involved..hehe), he needs an intro-type page that makes them want to join and is easy to navigate.

I like the site, aside from the opening glitches, and am looking forward to it moving forward and adding stuff. We need to hope that Prince doesn't get pissed about all the problems/bad PR right off the bat and decide to pull the plug or just let it die.

I usually don't pay for gifts, so I don't think it fits that definition, but certainly the question who this site is for is valid.
The little game to unlock the site is sure to discourage casual subscribers, so it's certainly not meant for them. Then when you manage to subscribe, the site's navigation is unconventional to say the least, again discouraging a good percentage of the potential user base from fully enjoying the site's content. Then once you get past that, your PC is taxed to its maximum just to show you the site's navigation system, which in many cases breaks access to the content ... so there goes another percentage of the potential userbase.
So yeah, the question who this site is for is definitely a valid one.
