Inventory of goods on lotusflow3r - please update with your take Here's my quick summation of what's available on lotusflow3r.com for those still pondering joining. Feel free to add to the list - maybe this can become a sticky for site content if the mods feel it's appropriate to show what membership on the site gets you as of now:
1. The three albums - available as 320 kbps mp3 files or as lossless wav files for immediate download. Albums are about 100 mb each as mp3 downloads, about 450-470 mb each as wav files. I've not been able to get the wav files for MPLSound yet - it's an incomplete download (stops at around 190 mb for me). Seems like others have gotten it, though. 2. You can reserve tickets for the shows this month, although many (if not all) seem to be sold out now. 3. Each of the three albums also has lyrics (embedded in Flash, so no copying and pasting of them for safekeeping - you'll have to take screenshots or re-key them), and additional photography/art that's associated with each album (4-6 images for each album, i.e. something that might appear on the inside of the CD booklet if you were to get one). Surprisingly, the artwork itself for each album is quite small and is NOT included when you download the albums. You'll have to get a screenshot or swipe it off the internet if you want to pair the artwork with your digital music files. 4. There's a paragraph of credits for each of the three albums. 5. There's a large "crystal ball" in the Lotus Flow3r section that spins around with numerous photos of Prince (most are from the 21 Nights book). There are also videos available for streaming, not downloading. Note that many of the videos are linked to twice in the "crystal ball," so right now it looks like there's a lot more there than there actually is. One would assume this would be updated/swapped out over time on the site: Alphabet St. (music video) Sign O the Times (music video) Te Amo Corazon (music video) Diamonds and Pearls (music video) Controversy (music video) The Britt Awards performance Controversy (music video) I Wanna Be Your Lover (music video) I Would Die For You (sic) (music video, live show) Little Red Corvette (music video) Guitar (Jay Leno performance which never aired) 1999 (Jay Leno performance which never aired) Super Bowl performance The Sacrifice of Victor film (43:41), Japanese subtitles The Britt Awards performance Creep (live) Shh (live) Somewhere Here (sic) (music video) 7/Come Together live The 1 U Wanna C (music video) Turn Me Loose (Jay Leno performance, aired version) I wouldn't say that all the hype about the quality of the video was accurate - some are indeed in HD/widescreen, but most that were originally shot in 4:3 resolution have been stretched to widescreen, which makes the SD video look worse than it should. I've yet to view any video on the site without running into hiccups/choppiness. 6. There's a "sneak preview" of two videos (not much longer than what was shown on the site earlier, only larger resolution now): "Crimson and Clover" and "Chocolate Box," both do look well done. The full video for Bria's "Everytime" is available as well. All streaming, no downloading. 7. You get a t-shirt as a "founder," although it costs extra shipping if you're out of the states. Additions? Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

[...] 6. The full video for Bria's "Everytime" is available as well. All streaming, no downloading. If it's sent to your browsers, you can download it. Example: "Prince_CnC.flv". Which BTW is sent through your browser via "download_gp.php". FYI: Crimson & Clover video is 3:52. Chocolate box video is a mere 36 seconds. Filenames: Videos/Prince_CnC.flv - 35.1 MB Videos/Prince_Choc_Box.flv - 4.27 MB Videos/Bria_Valente_Elixer.flv - 35.6 MB Videos/TheSacrificeOfVictor.flv - 612MB Videos/I Wanna Be Your Lover.flv Videos/Diamonds and Pearls.flv Videos/Little Red Corvette.flv Videos/Sign O The Times.flv Videos/Controversy.flv Videos/1999-Leno.flv Videos/Alphabet Street.flv Videos/TheSuperBowl.flv Videos/TheBritAwards.flv Videos/Creep.flv Videos/7-ComeTogether.flv Videos/SomewhereHere.flv Videos/The1UWannaC.flv Videos/Leno-TurnMeLoose.flv Videos/Alphabet Street.flv Beware: there is ZERO consistency on the site. Some of these play automatically, others have to be activated by pressing a play button. Some of these are okay, many however seem to be ripped from inferior sources (I'm suspecting VHS rips) and often have an incorrect aspect ratio (4:3 stretched to 16:9). This even applies to recent videos! Note that you're better off downloading o your PC: Turn Me Loose on leno is 4:3, is forced into 16:9 on the site but plays as 4:3 in you download the FLV. HOWEVER, that it is 4:3 is rather pathetic when you consider that Leno is broadcast in 16:9 HDTV. Once again, you're better off when you find an illegal rip, because it will be in better quality. Oh, and unless I'm mistaken, most or all of these videos are MONO. Quite frankly, it's pathetic and appalling to see such amateurism on a site you have to PAY for. Moreover, it's gonna be hell to "discover" when there are new videos or photos, and impossible to navigate there fast. This whole 3D-globe interface is an utter disaster, and completely lacks consideration for the user. I bet most fans would be 100% happy to see a list of videos which included a date when it is uploaded, and a "NEW!" tag for videos that you haven't looked at previously. Downloads: Lotusflow3r/LotusFlow3r.zip Lotusflow3r/LOtUSFLOW3R_wav.zip Mplsound/Mplsound.zip Mplsound/MPLSoUND_wav.zip (STILL CORRUPT! ONLY 146 MB!) Elixer/Elixer.zip Elixer/Elixer_wav.zip BTW Don't ask me for instructions on how to download any of these. If you figure out ONE of the above items (hint: use Firefox + FlashGot -- Google is your friend), you have all the info you need. I'll update this post if I find more. . Haven't seen this posted anywhere else yet. The Somewhere here on Earth video is fine until 2 minutes in (one line into verse 2), then it suddenly changes to Te Amo Corazon.
Not 100% on this one, but I think the end is missing off the Super Bowl vid (most of Purple Rain). It's possible my connection just died.

Do we really need to spell out things like this? Scott? Can you please orgnote me if you don't post here? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill...
