The T-Shirt? The corrupt .zips? The lack of tech support? The unsecured payment channel? The stress?

That's some gold, baby.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

This line in the official press release was pretty much solely responsible for my decision to sign up. I read through the rest of it thinking 'who cares about pictures and more pictures?' but when I got to the bit about week 1 exclusives I was convinced to part with my hard-earned.

I was thinking about the same thing the other day. I chose not to sign up and took the wait and see approach. Guess I haven't missed anything yet.

It's possible they took a couple of pictures down after the first week, but no-one would notice because nobody cares about the effing pictures.

i'd like to hear the defense for this. prince straight-up misrepresented the site and what you would get for $77. doubtless it is somehow the fault of the "haters on the internet."

There was also the frustration 2 see videos without being able 2 actually WATCH them, the privilege of buying additionnal ram so your computer could handle the videos, the difficulty 2 download the 3 albums, the opportunity 2 know your CC code by heart while trying 2 suscribe 10 times when u were in Europe and the incredible pleasure of being AT LAST able 2 listen 2 the Superbowl per4mance with only ONE speaker working.

Honestly, WHICH other musician's website offered this 2 his 1st members? The newbyes will b frustrated 4 life when they learn what they missed, not 2 mention that we can't even share all these things on P2P's so they can get 'em.

That website ROCKS!!!

I've never considered myself a "hater" because i've never, & i'll never, said anything wrong about Prince who i deeply respect as both a person & a musician. Now the fact is that this website was a HUGE disappointment, technically AND content, and i hope it'll get better in time & YES i DID xpress how disappointed i was & still am.

Now i suspect that Prince was deeply frustrated by our reactions and that he might "punish" us "haters" by keeping the site's content 2 a minimum 4 the time being. "No more candies 4 us". I hope i'm wrong.

historically it has been prince's way to withhold when the reaction is less positive than he'd like. i hope history doesn't repeat itself. sad

And thats exactly why he has so many sucker fams signing up. Like his employees, some people are almost scared of upsetting Prince by not liking every choice he makes.

Prince wants to avoid all contracts on delivery, but expects he fans to sign a tight contract and pay him in the process. He is so hypocritical it untrue.

He has Napoleon Syndrome in its worst form.

The fams need to drop the fear. It will set them free. Fear is the mind killer!

lol

Actually, i signed up because i'm trying (and about) 2 get every single note ever released by Prince and there4, i wanted 2 make sure i wouldn't miss anything that was made available on the website. That has nothing 2 do with "pleasing" him.
