I've said it plenty but I'll say it again, I'm joining next week. If for nothing else, I want to get access to the tickets the way it was with the NPGMC. It really was a great deal and to be that close to the stage was priceless.

After the NPGMC debacle (which I didn't subscribe to either), I'm very hesitant.

I am not sure. I never subscribed to the others because I was hesitant in sharing my personal information with his camp.

All I really care about is the CDs.

If the site entices me enough... I will join.

hmph! I'll just be buying the cds .... that is my support. I wish he would charge $77(after tax) for his concerts whenever he plays NYC again.

I wasn't going to join in, but I don't belive I can manage to stay out razz . I honestly almost sold my soul to get the necessary money to be able to pay the fee (including selling some of my dear vinyl-records). It proves that Prince has a really unhealthy impact on me...or the opposite depending on how you look at life. I'm actually suffering from a terrible disease; I simply don't have any interest in money, just find them totally uninteresting - wich of course makes it hard for me to earn any at all and gives me a lots of problems. wink May so be...but the fact is, when the purple rush inside your system is slowing down a bit, it's easier to think clear though, and I'm not certain it'll pay off to become a member as a european fan...confused I belive "Lotusflow3r" is more for the americans. Looks more certain with an american tour if there will be one. Guess we got our time at the free 3121-era over here...

Nevermind. $ 77 isn't the end of the world. I rather participate and gets disappointed than stay out wondering...I think...I'm still in love, after all...biggrin

The only way I'd join is if there were unreleased albums or tracks. Things like Roadhouse Gardens or The Dawn. Hell, I'd be happy with unreleased tracks from Crystall Ball, Camille and other withdrawn projects. The sad thing is even if they were promised, we all know that's no gauantee

I'm not sure yet. Since I live on the east coast, I am not excited about ticketed events in LA. I am not traipsing all across country to stand in line for 4 hours either. Now, if there will be venues on my side of the US, I will certainly join to get member tickets and new music. All the other stuff is just fluff.

I dropped a grand to fly to Vegas for one show (airfare and ticket alone) a couple years ago. Do you really think I'd think twice about $77? lol

Ditto, only I got to see two official shows and two after shows plus hotel and airfare for a grand wink

not going to bother unless it's FLAC downloads and HD videos - and more than one, we've all seen "creep". Put the whole concert up and available for download, then Add another 2 or 3 full concerts, then maybe. I'm not in the US so advance ticket sale is useless to me, and I don't want rubbish merchandise.

Other groups have set the bar very high in terms of offering (400+ gigs of live HD video for free, anyone?), and 256kbps mp3 and crappy videos is not going to cut it.

i'll do it.

just in terms of getting a good break on tickets, his sites have paid off for me in the past. that's enough to make me shell out the $77 this time around.

The pre-sale tix were a very good deal. I got excellent seats.

I'm really kind of done with Prince concerts, though. After the 2002 Celebration week, nothing holds a candle to that experience. I went to the 7/7/07 show at Target Center, had $77.31+fees nose-bleed seats, was sickened by the $75 dollar t-shirts, took my stinky 3121 perfume sampler and left. The concert did sound good... in a muffled sort of way. I won't do arena shows any more.

PREACH!!!

and the funny thing 2 me is, people getting geeked about the possibility of pre sales 2 concerts in their area and there is NO GUARENTEE that he will b per4ming in ur area. must b the need 2 hear purple rain 4 the millionth time that feeds the need shrug
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I'm not and it's not about the money. For me, it's the principle! Where I come from loyalty deserves respect! No matter who you are, how talented you, how fine you, etc. None of that means a damn thing without loyal people in your corner supporting and encouraging you and your efforts. Be they family, friends, associates, co-workers and even fans. Prince would have been a washed up has been, long ago had it not been for his loyal fan base that continued to support and encourage him when the mainstream wouldn't look at him twice.

Do I think he owes us something for that? Damn right, I do! He owes us his respect! He owes us the respect of treating us like the loyal fan base that we are! I can think of a whole slew of washed up has beens that would kill to have had a loyal fan base like his.

Does that mean he has to give us free stuff? Of course not! I'd be content if he'd just treat us professionally as the business man he is supposed to be, that appreciates where his money comes from! Instead of the cash cows, he thinks he can continue to milk at will, by dangling carrots of "exclusivity" that just never seem to materialize.

I've had enough of that. These udders are on hiatus until further notice! razz

this is what gets me about this whole thing that i'm on the fence about signing up ..PHOTOS OF ERAS FROM THE PAST ..WHAT THE FUCK?!! y do i want 2 live in the past? he's a musician not a model!!! if he was talking soley about the music being released from the vault then yeah i'd sign up 4 this, but come on now, i already deal with the fact that his live shows of late r nothing 2 rements of the past. i feel prince is driving backwards instead of putting the car in driving 4ward. i hope i'm wrong, but 4 now, it seems i'll b right.

Not me!

It's kinda pointless, I'm on a squirrel powered dial-up modem, deep in the wilds of British Columbia. Plus I'm no where near anywhere Prince might play a show so access to tix is not a draw. All I want is the music and this whole subscription/target thing has me a bit upset.

I am going to wait and see, there has been no real information on exaclty what you will get, the quality of what you will get and if they will or will not be pointelssly protected files.

I still have videos that I cannot play because of the "lifetime" membership I signed up for and paid for last time.

I was clued up enough to rip the audio and have them as mp3's. So it really does depend on what really you get for your money...

Do I want a T'shirt... Not really bothered.

Do I want load of photos... Not really.

Do I want music... YES

Am waiting in anticipation for later to see what all the fuss is about.
