can't remember exactly how it all worked but when my pc crashed
once the site was off the air i just uploaded those cd's i had
burnt and now i can play all those files on my pc, no drm at all.

A multi-billion dollar record company can afford to pay whoever they want to produce a visually fantastic site. If Prince is paying out of his own pocket, and he'll be using his own circle of contacts, we get what we get... I couldn't give 2 turds if it was a text only site as long as the output we receive is of a good enough quality. Until the site truly opens and we get what there is why such negativity about the design? Prince likes it... that's good enough for him... same as it always has been/always will be...

It's over-the-top in that cheezy princey way, but I prefer it to the typical corporate band site. Assuming it gets more content at some point.

Thank U Prince... been waiting 4 this... Prince is a true artist... original, and I love the journey he takes us on... I have been a fan since '78 and it's been 1 heck of a funky ride. Yeah, I don't mind the cheesiness since we've come to expect it from Prince by this point. He's had this type of gaudish, digitalized visuals accompany his output for about half of his career. Even before that the cover art of "Graffiti Bridge" wasn't that far removed from these type of visuals. He is on some late-60s / early-90s trip musically at the moment, so the crass mixing of hippie / mystical imagery is probably quite fitting in the end (the album is going to be called "Lotus Flower" after all). The real problem with this specific image, as far as the iverall composition goes - and should it end up as an album cover eventually - is just that his face in the middle with the eyes not showing doesn't work at all visually.

... and that electric / liquid -whatever thing looks like he is being jizzed on his head by Odin down from the skies. Hey, it's supposed to be "deep multi-cultural symbolism", so I am allowed to interpret it any way I want to. Cause "that's the way art works", right?
