Place Your Hypothetical Bets Here...

Okay, the NPGMC is "gone". What's going to happen next? When's it gonna happen and how much is it gonna cost?

Let's see who can guess the closest!

For example:

What's going to happen next?

npgmc.com will be replaced by 3121.com

When?

September 1, 2006 @ midnight

How much?

$31.21 per year

Okay, that's my guess. This is strictly for entertainment purposes only.

Have fun and play nice!

Let's make this simple! Submit your entry in the following format:

[b]What's going to happen next?

Go ahead and speculate! Let's see who's closest to what really happens!

When?

Give one date! No ranges! (Romera!!! evil j/k hug )

How much?

How much do you think the new incarnation (should there be one) will cost and will it be a lifetime deal again or charged per year, per month etc.

No one seems to be getting it edit...

This is a "betting pool" type game. I'm in NO WAY trying to insinuate that I know what's going to happen or that the NPGMC has provided any information.

This is just for fun.

So Romera guesses...

What's going to happen next?

"NPGMC will be replaced by 3121"

When?

"by August 1, 2006"

Okay that's a broad range of dates there...you need to narrow it down.

why would it close to only reopen with minor differences?

Itll be yet another experiment in how to market and /or sell more efficiently and profitably.

What's going to happen next?

It seems Prince's latest utopian ideal is called 3121 and the email did mention the 'Don't U Wanna Come?' line so I'd wager 3121.com will become his online home. My mind goes back to those questions we were all asked some time ago, one of which was 'what was your favourite unreleased song?'. I'm hoping this was something he was considering for a new, online official site. He knows how much his unreleased music appeals to us but then again, didn't he mention about having crystal clear copies of 'Moonbeam Levels' and 'Witness' just before launching Year 2 of the NPGMC. At the time we got excited; now we realise he was dangling a carrot he never intended for us to have.
Somehow, I think the demo that we got to hear recently was an experiment to see if we'd like that sort of thing. After all, 'Cybersingle' was released to test how popular downloadable music would be back in whatever year it was, maybe the recent demo is a taste of things to come. I hope so.
When?

31st July at 21:00hrs. 3121/7 and all that.

How much?

$31.21 per year which includes a CD and/or download of a new album of unreleased material in the first year, other CDs in following years, concert perks etc. Plus new style Musicology Store with regular new music.

Yes, this is all wishful thinking really, isn't it?

www.npgmusicclub.com will come back

when - 16th July 2006

what price - $100 "premium" which gets you, I don't know, a new download of empty room or something, and perhaps badly organised priority seating, or $31.21 for "normal" which gets you nothing at all, except Prince's heartfelt thanks.

PasiKullero

What's going to happen next?

He will replace NPGMC with a chainletter

When?

The first chainletter was sent yesterday. After two years there will be, at least, 100 new members.

How much?

The letter will cost your fortune. He'll ask you to invest 1 000 000$ to Nigeria, where's a huge goldmine just waiting to be opened. That incredible deal will give you billion dollars profit.

My opinion....
I HOPE they Stop / Do away with the lifetime membership...
Because if we payed yearly ..they be forced to give us something,
Within that year....[im not saying the have to]...
But why would u join if ,u dont get anything..

Now if its a lifetime membership....they wouldnt have 2 give us anything 4 free.
A Lifetime membership...of Free stuff...Now and then...? I doubt it
confused

I think they should have stuck with there old fourmula.
I no not ever 1 might like it or be able to aford it
But if we had an option to pay monthly or yearly premium [w/ ticket avance..etc]
They probley..Make much more money..each month, when something comes out.
Basicly like year 1

I know they offerd music there...but mabye 1-2 exclusive tracks a year.
But..why join, if it only saves you 20 - 30 cents..or a few dollers on cds..
[and they prob..be cds u allready have]
Look whatthey were doing..selling an old audio show...or parts of them
who wants that...i know some people missed them...but still...

The lifetime membership sounded like a good idea.....but mabye not
I dont mind paying...if i/we get something out of if

Who knows whats next....hopefull they [prince] get it right

Why not level access memberships?

25 for what it was
100 for the 4 cds a year
1000 for entry to PP listening booths

I believe that we will get the chance to purchase:

1. Music from the Vault, and lots of it;
2. Live audio concerts from the 70's through today; and
3. Concert DVDs from almost every concert that was recorded.

That's what I think is awaiting us.

What's going to happen next?

new official website will be www.3121.com

When?

hmmm I like RitaQoS' guess of July 31. Although does that seem too soon or not soon enough?

How much?

Initial annual fee of $31.21. (Would be cool if the previous members could apply their $25 towards the new fee, concert tix, music, or merchandise; but I doubt that will happen. They can't even keep track of who should receive emails, let alone credits...)

Possibly different levels of membership--$31.21, $121.30, $213.10, etc? Not too keen on a tier system--it is classist.

Hoping that there will continue to be member presales for concerts (this of course implies that there will be concerts nod ). I'm with you, Nothingbutjoy, if I have to take my chances with Ticketmaster & fight the riff-raff for Prince tickets I'm gonna be pissed

More demos, previously unreleased tracks, and concert footage from all Prince eras. pray pray
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

WILL THERE BE A PRICE?

I think that there will be a price 31.21, but the ones that were there will just have to log in an be in, remember, life time.

WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?

I fill that it will be 9/11/06
