not bad...but not that great...especially for those of you who are unfamiliar with Jill Jones...til will be a turnoff to her music...
Vocally, what they did for her in the recording studio was magnificent...but her voice just aint all that.

Nice performance...but for a fresh start on Jill, this aint it.

Look at me complaining.....dry season at NPGMC and ...I'm sorry..LOL...

Awh man! I love that song...It's my fave off of Mia Bocca...awesome.

What's a women to do? Across waits the man she's promised to...and in her presence in another with eyes of Violet Blue.....

Is he married? One day does he wana be...I wish I could tell just by holding him....but with his eyes so gentle...he whispers only mental communication is all he wants me to hear.

Even though I don't want to...I must leave him, I can't let him to see my tears..Though I turn away and notice the time..It's getting late...what's a women to do ? What's a woment to do...the eyes were violet blue..the eyes wer violet blue.....and that's what a real women wants to do.

Umm....I love that song.
She keeps her pride in a bucket next to the Milky way....Girl6

one of the best songs prince ever gave to others, and he's not even credited.

Some useless info for you....

The name of the show is 'Fantastico', for many years THE show of the Saturday night in Italy.

The guy is Adriano Celentano, one of the most famous Italian singers. Apparently he was very fascinated by Prince and his 'clan', so he decided to invite Jill Jones, Apollonia and (but I'm not pretty sure) Vanity to the show.

I was 11 at the time... Scary!! biggrin

The tune is great vintage Prince. However, this clip is valuable for no other reason that it shows how truly limited Jill was/is as a singer and only Wendy and Lisa are more overrated,

COMON

All this 'activity' from NPGMC only means one thing: nothing else is happening anytime soon- as in no new albumn! Despite the recentlt recorded video. Sigh.

I don't like this song - it is too disjointed. And Jill's vocals are not particularly special or anything. If I'd seen that performance, it wouldn't make me think, oh I must go out immediately and buy her record.

Of course, being abandoned on a huge stage didn't exactly help. And the sound quality of this clip is terrible! Sounds like a 3rd generation vhs copy - you would think NPGMC would only put up clips they've got decent recordings of.

Of all the things they could put up - why this?

But... some of the rumours circulating suggest Prince is working with 'old friends'. Maybe Jill is back in the camp?

Lets hope not - after working with Chaka Khan and Mavis Staples, why would he take a step backward?
