i tried lots of things, but i'm afraid i cannot solve this alone:

while buffering, internet explorer saves the file to my "temp"-folder, filename is e. g. fla2.tmp. even if buffering is finished, it stays that way. but if i want to move the file to another folder or change the name to *.flv, i get the reply that the file is in use and i should close the explorer before doing that. but if i close the program, the file is gone sad

can anybody pls help me?

thx!!

I don't know for sure, but try inceasing the space for storing temporary internet files (Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet Options - settings).

Make sure you are looking in the correct folder - there are various 'temp' folders on your hard-drive, you want the temporary internet one.

In that folder, list the files in order of size. The videos are usually the biggest files in there.

You can save them - I have them saved on my hard-drive - saved. Did you even read this thread? They go into your Temp Internet folder and you can drag them out from there. biggrin

Of course. I even printed it out...every time I try to drag them off, it says that the file is in use. I tried renaming them...copying them...nuthin. I even called a lifeline to a puter geek friend of mine...to no avail.

I have not tried quitting out of the program and seeing if the file is still there. That might work. It was also a pain to find that file...buried and hidden under all kinds of trash.

sad

But that's exactly what you need to do!! smile You can't drag it anywhere while a program is using it. Try clearing your Temporary Internet Files folder first and then go watch it on the site so it the only (or one of the only) things in that folder when you check - that way it's easy to find. If for some bizarre reason it's not there, you just have to set the properties of your Temporary Internet File folder so that it saves larger temporary files.

Hope that helps.

Does anyone else hear an annoying high-pitched whining noise all the way through the videos, particularly Partyman and Jerk Out? Ugh.
