Have there been any after shows yet? Will there be after shows? Who gets in and how are they announced?

This is a pretty dense tour schedule and Prince is getting older, so I bet he's just trying to save his energy to make it through the entire tour. I remember hearing at the end of the Purple Rain tour he was totally burnt out, so maybe he's just trying to pace himself better this time.

I don't think they said there would be NO aftershows...I think they said basically what rupertz just said, that it's a dense schedule and a big stage set-up so time is needed to get to the next city. That makes sense to me. I'd still be rather surprised if he doesn't play aftershows in certain cities. Who knows, though?

I am hoping for an afterparty at paisley after the 6/18 show. Do you think I should not get my hopes up? It IS a Friday in his hometown after all.

The last Prince show I saw in NYC (ONA) had an awesome aftershow. It would be great if there were another. Does nayone know how it might be announced?

ugh, I wish we had some solid info on this!

My crew is talking about getting a hotel in St Paul for one of the shows (since we have to drive ALL THE WAY IN FROM MPLS-LOL) but we don't wanna have a room in St Paul if it turns out we have to drive to Chanhassen anyways...

There was an afterparty in Oklahoma. For some reason, it seemed like they only gave passes out to cute women. Hmmmmm. I think Prince showed up but can't be sure. Since I couldn't get in, I left the club eary. Anyone else go?

That's kind of funny because just today I was proposing that we build our stadiums with a $5 hotel tax because I said who lives in the metro area and stays in a hotel in the metro area I figured it would only be lovers who rent out suites and if you are paying big bucks for a room what's a nother $5?

There was an official afterparty (not aftershow) at Lotus in Indianapolis. Anyone (over 21) was admitted for a $20 cover, regardless of NPGMC membership.

I saw people with passes. I don't know if they were official or not. I'm guessing not. The club in Oklahoma was kind of seedy though. Wouldn't even let us in wearing Prince t-shirts. But when I took it off and tried to get in wearing long underwear, they didn't recognize me from before and then let me in. I think it might have been a hoax just so we would go to that nightclub.

I didn't go in but drove past the club around midnight and there was a limo and Indianapolis Police outside of the club. I'm assuming he showed up.

Yes, please tell us how you found out about it...was it announced from the stage?

If it wasn't an official NPGMC after party, then why were passes handed out, and why did Prince show up?

Afterparties are for the birds anyway...if I wanted to hang around and hope Prince would make a quick appearance before disappearing for the rest of the night, I'd go to a dance party at Paisley!

Just because passes were being handed out doesn't mean it was a NPGMC event. It was announced on the radio hours before the show and immediately afterwards the show. The DJ that made the announcement is a HUGE Prince fan so I can imagine he was involved with it somehow and Prince did an afterparty with the same club owners when they owned another club called the Suga shack.
