NPG Member Seats

What is everyone's experience with the member seats at previous concerts? I am new to the NPG Music club and I am curious to know what type of seats I should be expecting.

Well at ONA we didn't even have assigned seats... basically just general admission at the front of the stage! It was first come, first up front and I was second row center for the Kansas City show. NICE.

But this time around it isn't going to be like that. They are supposed to be assigning us seats in the "Best 2 sections" of the arena. Will that be in front of the stage, behind, what constitutes "best"? We don't know.

Also they are not going to be general admission this time, but rather they will assign the seats to you at "random" w/in the "best 2 sections". The good news is you don't have to get there early and jockey for position- your seat is your seat. The bad news is even if you went on line and bought your tix the second they went on sale (I did) you could still find yourself at the very BACK of the "good" section, behind a bunch of people. =(

And then there is the oft discussed possibility that scalpers or people w/ inside connections at the arena will leak better seats to non-fanclub members. This will certainly occur. Will it be widespread? Time will tell.

So in other words... you should have good seats. But not as good as in the past. And others may well have better seats than you. About the only "benefit" from this arrangement is the fact that you got to buy your premium tix before they went on sale to the general public. You got a head start and thus were pretty much assured of being in these "good" seats. Other than that, you're really pretty much like any other early ticket buyer for a bid show.

Personally I have tix to three shows. If I don't have killer seats for at least one of them I will be PISSED.
