My Sydney 24 review

there are some excellent reives here, and i wasnt going to post anything new cause its all been said...but hell i cant resist!

so we waited about two and a half hours to get in, and for the soundckeck, it started really late, but hell it was worth it! one second im thanking god i finally get to sit down and wondering where i can get some food and the next moment prince is onstage.
they played 17 days,Beautiful strange, Rainbow Children. his vocals were amazing for beautiful strange, very powerful. the rainbow children rocked my jocks-bloody brilliant, no singing, just the band jamming! john blackwells solo was out of this world!! And it just proves what good musicians these guys are.

and that was just the beginning...

the concert was amazing. i really cant describe what its like standing so close, and seeing prince perform before your very eyes. the band took each song to a whole new level and nothing sounded 'tired' or 'old'. they nailed each and every song. prince was really happy and relaxed.
im not going to go through everysong cause there is only so many times you can use 'genius' 'brilliant' and 'amazing'. but i gotta say...
sign o the times blew me away completely. I love that song, and they made it funky! but princes singing still made my spine tingle and was completely cry worthy.
the beautiful ones was awesome, arg those screams they were spot on!!
they tore up the everlasting now. blew it out of the water.such a funky song.
purple rain was...prince started playing and stopped and said 'i love this song, i will never get tired of playing it' and that showed. This song is magical. It was so immense live, prince had the whole crowd singing along.

The band works together perfectly and is so tight and just brilliant musicians. They were full of energy, the whole show was just so immense. I think I lost about 8 kilograms from all that dancing! Prince…well what can I say, he owns it! Brilliant musician, vocals spot on every time.

it was also great meeting every one! everyone was really friendly, guess cause we were all there for the same reason!

that night will stay with me for ever...

Man, I know u're friends weren't interested in going to the concert with u. If only they had the same xperience that u did, they must be kicking themselves on what they missed out on. I know I would have if I were them.

Agree nod

The strange thing 4 me about meeting up with everyone was Im usually a shy guy when it comes to meeting people. But the concert was different. It was like everyone I met was an old friend, like i've known everyone 4 eva. I guess it was part xcitment 4 the concert and part realising I might never see everyone again in the same place 2gether again, so I threw my conventional rules out the window, and im glad I did. There was not one person that I met that wasn't Cool, warm, friendly, funny, open and very welcoming, with no ego.

I can't thank u all enough. My xperience was great on 2 levels, the actual Prince concert, and the people I shared it with.

Thanx guys! worship
