$250 for meet and greet with family. eek Have any of the family members said if they're going to be at Xcel? I hope this event is a compliment to that and not seem as a competing event. It's nice to have something for people who couldn't get tickets to Xcel show or might be in town doing a PP tour.

Let's see, $250 for a meet & Greet and Prince will NOT be there? vs. $10 to January 23rd. after dark party in which I met him. Why would anyone want to pay $250 when he's dead? $250 for January 21 this year for VIP Piano & A Microphone Concert at Paisley Park just a few feet away from the legend, definately worth it. Why now after he is gone are people willing to spend these outrageous amounts of money?

I wonder how many really spent $250. I bet only a handfull. Hell I didn't think the extra $50 was worth getting in at 8 vs 9. I wonder how it will be set up though? Will it be all open or will the have some couches in there?

I don't think anyone is trying to hurt others, but actions like very expensive 'meet and greets', can look extemely offensive to others.

When 'sharing the grief' comes at a cost, one has to consider exactly what is being shared.

#PRNfamily confirmed today that Andre Cymone, Liv Warfield and Judith Hill will be AT ALL THREE celebrations of Prince's legacy being organized by his family.

At $31.21 per ticket, this is an incredible low priced deal.

Has anyone seen Andre, Liv and/or Judith perform live? They are awesome.

Good luck to everyone in getting your tickets for this awesome experience.

So, does this mean that Liv Warfield is not a part of the Official Prince Tribute, as is being advertised?

Liv is being billed as being at both events that same night.

Based on reports, the "celebration of Prince's legacy" event will end at 4 am on that Thursday night when the official Prince memorial will also be held. On the other two nights, the "celebration of Prince's legacy" events are scheduled to end at 2 am.

Liv also has a lot of experience performing twice per night because as a member of Prince's band she did many aftershows and was always full of energy.

By the way, if u haven't seen her in concert, she is well worth catching because she is an awesome performer. In fact, she is currently on tour. Furthermore, Prince loved her.

I REALLY wanted to go-strictly to dance. I'm locked out because I have 2 minors coming with me. So-do you think they will actually card at the door if we have tickets? Of course it might be hard to pass off a 14 year old as 21 sad

Bring on the dancing, celebrating and joy that P brought to so many people! For those of us who get to/choose to attend, I'm sure it will be an experience that we will cherish forever. Let's not forget that someone passed who left an imprint on so many lives. This should be a time to come together not a time of division. Nothin but Love baby!!

They're not Prince, and this is work. It cost them more than $250 to put this together for all the people whohave been throwing shitfits about them NOT doing it.

How about you all go to work for free? No? Then stfu and keep your money if you don't want to pay the $250, but for the love of god stop having tantrums over everything the family does. You are owed none of this at all. Keep that in mind when you whine. It's beyond annoying and needs to stop, last year. Get over it, kids.

Hmmm I don't know about that. And it would probably be more upsetting to get to the door and be turned away. Are they responsible kids? Okay to leave in the evening at a hotel to watch a movie? Or drop them off at the movie theatre and see if there is in and out priveledges if you don't trust them getting back alone (no idea where you are staying etc) 14 sounds alright, not sure how old the other one is... ? Just rattling off ideas.

Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

It's all too little too late.

What UTTER crap honestly.

-

$600 for the first night for VIP to see... Tyka ? ...and other 'close' (what?) family members ?

Why ?

Other nights $250 for the same VIPs ?

What aere the 'family memebers' going to do ?

Cry more for fake tears for $600 then they'll do for $250 the second and third night ?

Will the drama be less important then ?

I'm very well aware that the proceeds will help pay the estate's tax bill.

And I know the heirs arn't getting one $ of Prince's own earned hard work until all taxes and liabilities are paid.

Still it all smells, cause money is involved. Can't help but seeing it that way.

-

Now,

Where's the Revolution ?

Where's Sheila ?

Where are all the other important collaborators of Prince ?

Sure Londell McMillan is in the picture 'cause he is also the personal lawyer of Chaka and Stevie...

-

Fool yourself if you like, go and enjoy.

-

Danceparties ? Why ? Money ??

This is false. They are NOT charging $600 for the first night whatsoever.

Basically, venturing to charge fans (some of whom are still grieving) $250 each to "meet the family" is a poor idea.

How come the family is silent about things happening at Paisley Park? Plans to build a wall. Clearing the fence of fan's tributes to Prince.

Hey, there's gonna be a Dance party... DANCE PARTY!!! VIP!

You think the family has control over whether tributes on the fence can stay up? No that's the city dictating. If you read the sign that was put up it's pretty clear the city was getting complaints about debris from the fence. The family and estate have to be careful here as the city at any time could pull the plug on PP as a museum and then what? It gets sold off to some developer so they can pay the estate taxes?

If you would take the time to read what the pricing is instead of getting all indignant, you'd have seen that the $600 is for all three nights, not just first night.

Dance parties - why?? Seriously?! I can't even...rolleyes disbelief

I'm looking forward to seeing how The Muse is transformed for this event, and they've got a great lineup which includes P collaborators, friends, and a funky local live band. That all costs money, and P's family does not owe fams anything - you expect them to do this for you for free? Because we're fam? Sorry, but that doesn't really make us entitled to anything...it makes us lucky. I'm thankful that the opportunity exists to get together yet again and celebrate one of the most prolific and gifted artists the world will ever know, and you should be too.

Everyone needs to quit whining like overpriveleged children and grow up.
