Can't go into too much detail, technically just a rumor as of now, but a little music industry birdie told me that we may be seeing Prince in Austin soon.

It's kind of crazy for Prince to have so many of his seats being sold from $275 to $500, especially in a 14,000 seat arena. Geez, he's rolling solo with no band to pay expenses and salaries for on this tour. I go to a lot of shows and I've rarely seen prices like those unless it's a really huge production. Those are freaking scalping prices he's charging. If he can pull off shows at these prices, he's going make BIG $$$$$!!!!

I've only seen those prices for Madonna's shows. I think she can justify the cost, because it is a huge production. Prince, not so much. Piano and a microphone...can't be that much to ship around.

There is no way that I would pay $500 to see any artist. $100 is my limit. You gotta draw the line somewhere smile

I really want him to just finally do a full tour and it would be rad if his band was 3rdEyeGirl. I've been spoiled and seen him play with them at the Fillmore in SF in 2014 and then saw him last night at the Oracle for the paino and mic show. The bay area gets a lot of these last minute/special shows. But it's been too long since a full tour.

3rdEyeGirl has the chops and presence to play a stadium/arena tour with him. He would sell out every city.

I really just don't get why Prince won't just put out a tour schedule with advanced ticket sales like every other artist or band. It's really frustrating to have guess, check Twitter, or check fan sites a few times a day to see where and if he's going to play your city. Many of us don't mind traveling short distance to see the show, but need more than a few days notice to do that. I love Prince, but he has very little consideration for his fanbase when he resorts to these antics.

These tactics thwart scalpers and guarantee that diehards get tickets to the shows!

I see what you are saying. I would love to see a full band tour as well. But not 3rdEyeGirl. Something like the NPG. A full scale band. Renato Neto and John Blackwell spring to mind. As does Eric Leeds. Let's bring back the big band! Like the Diamonds and Pearls tour and Lovesexy!

Hannah is pregnent. So no 3rd eye for touring, could be why he has decided to do piano and microphone tour now. I think while it is big success he will carry on with this for a while.I wouldn't hold your breath for a band tour til a least the end of this year. Shows like the size of Diamonds and pearls are done. Because he would have to fund it to start with.

It's only $...there have been cheaper ticket options for every show. But why not pay for the one time experience? I throw away money on a lot of stupid stuff throughout the year- that bring me no joy... lol.

This is beginning look like the so-called last tour.....The Hit n Run tour. A few sporadic shows here and there and then nothing. It's really disappointing to think that Prince is doing quick money grabs with these shows. Why won't he announce a tour with dates and advanced ticket sales? I just don't get it. The reviews for the shows are stellar. He could easily hit major cities across the States and do really well.

I think most of us feel the same way,but I don't think we have heard the last of this tour by a long shot. He will make a fortune with this concept. So if money is his main motivation nowadays there will be more. (I personally don't believe that money is everything to him but it's certainly a big part)

just seen on the net that the lady DJ that did princes last after party/show, has been asked to go on tour with Prince. So its looking like more dates are forthcoming!
