No luck to get a single ticket for Melbourne. $400 is too much for me.

For those lucky, enjoy the show!

Same here sad

That sucks, if anything, we need to club together and get Captain to one of these shows at least. I mean there will be no whammy bar at all, so he has to go!!!!

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

There's Sydney tickets left but there all $397 & up I may still have a chance if there's seats left by the 18th which I doubt there will be but I hope it can wait till payday ...

May those of us who are lucky enough to be going be blessed with great audience neighbours. I don't want to hear people complain about songs they've never heard of, where's the band, is this all he's gonna do, these tickets cost a fortune, etc etc etc etc

Well that was an exercise and a half - i had browser issues. by the time i was actually able to select tickets (decent ones) the only ones left were the $400 tix. I managed to score tix in Circle Box C just to the right of the stage. It was weird tho as the seata i ended up getting which were 2.5hrs after they went on sale appeared in my cart, disappeared, then reappeared 40mins later. Anyhoo - i got the confirmation so very excited about the 10pm concert in sydney.

I just hope the following obstacles dont rain on my purple parade:

Prince tires early

opera house curfew

larry graham ruining the experience

drunk and disorderly Aussie yobos (well not unless i am)

i wonder if he will do the basement again? or whether he'll travel to the inner west and do the vanguard jazz bar - regardless, Sydney lock out laws may play havoc for those attending the 10pm

oh i forgot to mention, im pretty excited....bring on the 20th

Managed to secure my tickets for the 20th at the Opera House. Can't wait. I never thought that he would be coming back to see us so soon after his last visit. I'm so excited for this. It'll be my first visit concert at the Opera House as well so I'm looking forward to that.

My question is a practical one.... for the 10pm concerts in Sydney. How's everyone getting home? I think trains stop running about midnight. Then it's the nightride bus.

I think I will have to drive in to the city a pay the parking.

It seems like the only tickets available now are the Premium/Ultimate Fan Packages. Love Prince, but damn I can't drop $750+ on a ticket.

I have a treasurer at home to report to!

There are still tickets to both Opera house gigs everyone. Most better or at worst equal to what I got-which were decent. Sydney State Theatre seems to be all sold.

Thats something I'm going to have to figure out as well. I'll more than likely stay in the city and see if he ends up somewhere else afterwards. It's already an expensive weekend, but worth it to see the man, again.

Someone on Twitter raised the issue of lock-out laws. Makes things difficult for anyone at the 10pm show if it doesn't finish until 12.

Is there anyone in Sydney who can explain the lockout laws? Do they apply over the whole of Sydney? From what time?

On the other hand, he won't have the band to hang out with after the show... You never know he might just feel like he needs company razz

The reason I bring it up... I have a feeling he is bringing 3rdEyeGirl exclusively for aftershows. They can sneak in an out with very little gear required. An interesting theory and this is Prince after all, you can never say never.

This was the biggest long shot ever I have no Idea what Prince was thinking but now half of his fans are going to miss out because some people on get paid fortnightly & can't jump at his every whim even though he'd like to think that his fans could we just can't sometimes, I'm hoping I'll catch a fan sale because that's my only shot because I don't get pail till the 18th
neutral dang Prince tell people sooner or at least book more dates next time confused

It was definitely a major stress but OH SO WORTH IT! Tickets scored for:

Melbourne (16/2) - 10pm show (Stalls, Row B)

Melbourne (17/2) - 10pm show (Stalls, Row B)

Sydney (20/2) - 6:30pm show (Circle)

My Credit Cards given a working harder than Prince dry hump!

Good point!

I've got a moonboot on my left leg, so any travelling around the city for me will be public transport or Uber.

In 2012 I managed to goto both Prince aftershows in Brisbane. I would go as far as to say that they were better than the actual concerts. That was an amazing time for me. 2 shows and 2 aftershows. Hard to top, but I've managed to secure 2 shows this time round, just hoping for some after show action.

How good would that be? Hopefully the door charge isn't too expensive.

I made it to the second aftershow. What a night, and I agree pretty close if not better than the concert. That was my fourth concert as well.

In Brisbane the Hi Fi aftershow was $100 then rising to $150 as the place filled up....so a load of people left the queue and they dropepd the price down to $100 again.

The Eatons Hill show on the second Brisbane night was $150 flat rate.

Aftershows at the O2 in London were GBP31.21 (2007) but these were ticketed in advance, not the last minute type.

Glasgow Garage 1993 GBP20 from memory...

Point to remember about the last brisbane aftershows...they were in nightclubs, so people with kids were turned away (why you would want a 10 year old out till 5am I don't know but there we go!)

Wow me trying to get a ticket is becoming a comedy of errrors with Ticketek. Tried and finally secured a ticket to Opera House 10PM show. Yes!! great.. $400 I got this.

Credit Card details are updated on the Ticketek website = CHECK

1 Ticket selected = CHECK

Take a look at grand total = $1,300!!!!

WTF?

I inspect closer and it seems Ticketek still may have my intial 2 tickets I tried to book at midday today in the basket. Awesome, does that mean I can deselect the ticket I chose and opt for the other 2? = NO

Does it mean I can just de-select any combination of the existing tickets? NO

It's either I pay $1,300 or nothing. As much as I love Prince, I don't have that kind of money to throw around on one show.

I figured I'd call Ticketek directly, it's all automated AVR everything, no human to speak to. At this point I will concede defeat.

I've tweeted directly to Ticketek but I fear their Customer Service department may be as useful as their IT infrastructure.
