Considering what a big supporter of record stores Prince is, I would hope this means he is going to perform!

This is really weird, considering the timing with the hacked FB site... What happened to my laugh emoticon? [Edited 4/19/15 17:27pm] "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

There's a few raving reports on twitter about this party, sounds like this was the "something amazing is going to happen not to miss" party in front of 200-300 people. Somebody even called it an epic night...well that's promising for the Hit N Run tour then.

The party started in the Love4OneAnother room, with Judith Hill's equipment set up. They were showing a Tower of Power concert. We were then moved into the soundstage. Prince started playing right away.
Set list from what I can remember.
Wow Funknroll Let's Go Crazy Pretzelbodylogic Rock N Roll Love Affair Stratus Hannah drum solo
Judith Hill's band started playing from the Love4OneAnother room and we all went back in there.
Judith did her set and then we were moved back into the soundstage. Joshua was DJ and played a remix of Clouds, the Rita Ora song, and then Revelation. Prince took the stage about half way through Revelation and started playing it live, with Marcus playing the sax, and the band backing.
Second set was: Revelation Thank You (Fallettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) Judith and the horns joined for My People and As Trains Go By as a duet

^Thanks for posting! .
. Somebody in a different thread called it "damage control" to get folks talking about something else than the "hack" and follow-up tantrum drama . Good to hear this was a great concert for those who attended, maybe Prince had to vent through music which often leads to inspired concerts instead of hit sampler sets. [Edited 4/20/15 0:57am]

Thank you for a live report! I have to wonder if this concert was a response to the ridiculousness of the day before... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Jon Bream was there so he'll probably do an article 2morrow.. What a nite... Prince slayed that guitar with incredible solos, he also played the bass, it was awesome!!! He was in a great playful mood, it was nice to see him like that...Was a bit of a different crowd tonite as well probably due to the record store employees and friends, more of an uptown crowd for sure We most def got super spoiled

Glad Bream has been back from the exiled. Most def will get a report tomorrow along with a few tidbits Prince wants him to share, like pre "Purple Rain" days.

Tonight was such an amazing experience. I was randomly visiting Minneapolis for the weekend, so this was the best surprise ever! It was worth well over $30 just to hear Prince say "wrecka stow". LOL! Not only that, but he was so fun and relaxed. It really felt like he invited us all over to his house for a little musical get together. However, I didn't like being ushered from room to room, it was a little hectic and confusing. I was lucky to be up front for all 3 sets.
Judith really blew me away, what a voice!! I saw Prince peeking in the doorway during her set, which was too cute. It was such a treat to hear him play bass during his second set, and just jam and have fun. I didn't want it to be over, even though I was exhausted. They had vinyl and beautiful shirts for sale, but I didn't have any more cash on me to buy some. I took a photo with my best friend outside the building, which will serve as my souvenir. I'll cherish the great memories also. Thank you, Prince!! [Edited 4/20/15 2:07am] Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

. Prince, Judith Hill jam for 'Record Store Weekend' at Paisley ParkPosted by: Jon Bream http://www.startribune.co...26311.html . Prince wanted to do something for Record Store Day. So on the night after, he invited record store owners to come see a free live performance at his Paisley Park complex in Chanhassen on Sunday night....

How far into the studio version of Revelation did the DJ go before Prince and the band took it over live? Was it longer than what was broadcasted on the Yahoo special? If so, what was it like?
Thanks for the reports! [Edited 4/20/15 5:08am]

I'm hearing on twitter that Prince took over from the recording halfway through and jammed on it for about 30 minutes with a lot of guitar soloing and improvisation. Glad to hear he's doing some new material and has brought 'RNR' into the set. Reports suggest he was on fire on the guitar last night.

This morning is so painful, LOL! Still, last night was totally worry it, and the best $30 I've ever spent. I've never spent so little for a Prince concert, which is why I originally thought that he wouldn't be there. What a surprise to us all!
And yes, his guitar work was awe inspiring! I've been to several shows, and I've never heard him play like that. Sometimes he'd get really quiet, and the audience was so enraptured that you could have heard a pin drop. Before launching into "Thank You", he whispered into the mic, "I need to get this out of my system..." We were happy to let him!
