Going to where Prince produces his music and being promised "unreleased jelly" would have had women needing multiple towels to clean up the snail trail years ago........

So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

Ummm...why do yo ucare about some kind of promotional artwork??? It's sort of about the music but guess you missed that.

Won't waste too much time, since the thread will probably get locked like last weekends. They played the 2nd Paris show up until Kiss. I would prefer a straight up 3RDEYEGIRL show with no Liv, but obviously not my choice. Prince was hanging out watching it also...not much else to tell.

It was very cool to hear some of the supermoonmusic from last weekend -- some amazingly funky jamz in der! The Paris show was beautiful and classic -- hard to choose my most favorite parts, but definitely watching LiV per4m and Ida's solo -- wangdangified! It was exACtly as advertised -- a Dance party with plenty of funky purple songs. Thank you Prince for continuing to open your Park to all. Every time i dance there i come away feeling healed. mother duck!

Prince was in the room for a total of 45 seconds. Charging 25 bucks and not an actual in the flesh performance ( and I'm not talking just prince) is kind of a rip off in my opinion. At least at the dance parties earlier this year we got a performance from a local artist lame or not. In a weird way that justified paying that much money.

I've been to at least 7 of these so don't jump all over me. Just my opinion like I said.

I don't see it as a rip off. Places have cover charges..jeesh. They're not charities of good times. Especially as paisley has no liquor license or desire for one...they need to at least break even or turn a tiny profit. Its 25 bus...not 225. I've paid many a 20-30 covers to get into unpopular clubs and had a great time.

I think anyone who pays money to go there and doesn't get much should just decide not to go. I'm guessing a lot of people there have no idea how things are done there. By the way, why did last week's thread get locked? It seems to have just vanished as well.

I had an amazing experience last nite as I drove away from Paisley Park. There were no rooms avbailable in Chanhassen so I booked a room in Minnetonka. On the way there during the 3 hour drive, I got LOST several times, before barely making it to the hotel in time. I wear glasses, but the problem was that I was in unfamiliar territory and maybe a bit dislexic.

After the show I went to my car. I'm supposed to wear glasses for driving but I was not able to clearly see, the glasses weren't dirty, they just blurred my vision. I thought 'how weird.' I took them off and could see perfectly!!! I've worn them for about 10 years and it felt like a miracle healing. I kid U not, I was so amazed and I drove right to the right spot, no U turns, no backing up, getting lost etc. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like a sudden healing after leaving Paisley Park??

I thought it was just a fluke. But as I drove home this morning the same thing happened, The glasses impaired my vision and taking them off made everything PERFECTLY CLEAR biggrin woot! I hope this lasts, I am not making it up. I hope to be back soon to give a review of a totally Beautiful nite yes

The setlist up to Kiss from Paris doesn't really showcase the strength of 3rd Eye Girl.

They are a rockband and this setpart is mainly pop/funk and samplerset with backup.

Like using a hammer toi drive a screw.

But that said. I hope the showing was nice. Paisley Park has a certain charm and magic to it (inside)

WOWWWW. thanks 4 sharing that! I have read a lot about natural healing of vision and what i've read can ALL be summed up in one word: RELAXATION -- blurred vision is just a symptom of tension in the body and eye muscles, and sight can be clarified quite quickly by attaining perfect relaxation. And a glasses prescription maintains the level of tension found when your eyes were tested. so my guess is you relaxed and danced and became one with the purple funk and it healed any tension that may have been held in your eyes as well. and sorry, been awhile since i've properly posted a quote here, lol. And for any1 interested in reading about thousands of cases of permanently healing eyes by relaxation, i recommend " Better Eyesight: The Complete Magazines of William H. Bates " by Thomas R. Quackenbush (editor), or better yet just Go to Paisley Park and let it Go (wink) doublecool that this happened to luvparade without Prince even having to take the stage. i have yet to notice such a drastic healing in myself, but definitely notice little things that add up.

Maybe I'm being dense but there's nothing here about the show. It's about you and your delusions and, let's face it darlin', nobody gives two tits about that.

Idk, I think leaving a party having better vision than I've had for a long time, is directly associated with the show. U're right however, it was rather selfish of me to just mention that before writing about the show itself. Still, if there is something to it as PURplEMaPLeSyrup mentioned, about RELAXATION being the cause, maybe others might experience or be helped by the knowledge of it. I didn't realise it was something which had been explored before. I did say I would try to write more soon but after being up most of the nite, I feel inadequate to describe what truly went down. I report with sort of an abstract analysis of how I perceived the nite, again very selfish of me. But when it comes to Prince I will never be able to describe all that he creates effectively. Those with more technical musical knowledge might be the ones whose reviews U want to read.

Walking into Paisley Park is always exciting, never knowing what to expect or what amazing things U might witness. First off as we walked thru the door into the lobby. There was an imaginary flower, a type of art that stood out like a fantasy. A flower with HUGE Peachy/Pink Petals as if it were growing out of the floor, it reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. And come to think of it Paisley Park does remind me of Wondaland lol Then the next thing I noticed was a sign on the walll that spells out: L O V E. It might even be a mirror, if I have the chance to go again I'll observe it closely. Imo, It's a real nice way to greet people before their experience at Paisley Park begins. heart

The people who work at Paisley Park are kind, polite and professional, also happy and helpful.

Some people came in as couples, others seemed to be in groups or clusters. There were some standing toward the wall or sitting on sofas and chairs. there were a lot of SMILING faces.

The music was funky and fun and before long the room was filled with dancing, happy people. Once in awhile someone would break out in a unique dance while lots would stop and watch. At times, groups would showcase individuals and their styles as they danced past people lining both sides. It was interesting to watch the different styles and people having fun, dancing in all sorts of styles.

Throughout the nite new music was being played or at least music that I hadn't heard before. I can't describe it but I liked it. A lot. Hearing it once doesn't allow me to critique it but there's something about Princes' voice. his range of sounds are very exceptional and enjoyable to my ears. I observed while watching others danced or stood, that they were enjoying it also. The many sounds of Prince were on display last nite, always a refreshing and wonderful place to be.

Everyone moved to the Love4oneanother Room to watch the Paris footage that was so incredible. The close ups of P and his band, the audience, everything about the video made me feel as if it were happening right then and there. Prince was really shaking it and having loads of fun, you could see in the faces of those in attendance that they couldn't soak it up fast enough. The only thing that would have made it better was if Prince was actually in person a couple of feet away while he wowed the crowd. The Energy, the Positive Vibe, felt like the whole room stood in Awe of this majestic musician, Prince.

The jelly went on thick while hearing the music from the Supermoon show, smooth and jazzy. For those who missed that show this was a sweet bonus last nite.

No one ever really knows what's going to happen day to day so I always feel much appreciation for being invited to this and any Prince event flower I hope that everyone who went enjoyed themselves and that anyone who hopes to, is able to, visit Paisley Park soon one day.
