Paisley Park After Dark May 17 & 24

looks like bands have been announced for the following two Saturdays as well

Glad to see they are giving more notice for these shows, so that people from out of town can get plane tickets at a reasonable price. For anyone who hasn't been yet, it's a lot of fun.

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

This Saturday just got completely cancelled, per their FB page:

"PPAD would like 2 apologize; This Saturday's (May 17th) event, is cancelled...!! We look 4ward 2 C'ing U all next Saturday when "Gramma's Boyfriend" will b in the house!! We have great things coming ahead.. Thank U all 4 understanding!!"

And they are already teasing about Sat., Jume 7:

"We" have something Funky brewing 4 ya'll 4 Saturday June 7th.. all bcuz "We" U.. Stay tuned! This will b a "FAM APPRECIATION NIGHT" (bcuz "WE" & appreciate ya'll)..WHICH FALLs ON a Saturday, and YES, Just HAPPENS 2B... his DAY OF BIRTH.. Lets B Done with that..!!"

The cancellation is ominous but not surprising, in light of how small the crowd was on Saturday. I hope they can figure out a way to make this work.

So, on the 24th this band "Gramma's Boyfriend" will be playing. The lead singer has a solo record out and can be heard on NPR first listen below:

Maybe more people will turn out now that Prince has no chance of being there??

According to PPAD facebook page, until further notice, all future events have been cancelled due to "technical difficulties".
