I think this show was more about the format and the venue. Such a shame to have missed out, I'm not feeling better having seen the set list. The weather outside though, I'm very pleased to be snuggly settled indoors.

True, but if it wasn't a full acoustic set, then 420, 1000, or 2000, makes no difference if you are dow n the front at all of them.

That is actually something I was sitting here pondering just now. If you're close enough to smell his feet does venue capacity really matter? Having seen him up close on several occasions I'm past that though, so for me venue size does matter a bit. At the EB show I just hung out towards the back and enjoyed the show in comfort yet still had a great view. Would have been great to be there tonight I think.

RIP sad

I'm yet to make any of these gigs. I'm a self employed mortgage broker with 2 kids, cant afford to to head to London on a whim! Tempted by Sunday though.Whats the capacity of Koko? I know it's been said on here before but is Prince winning or losing fans doing this?

Can Londoners start complaining about Manchester yet? He hasn't finished playing the iconic venues. How am I supposed to get to anywhere in Manchester within half an hour? wink lol

Kidding of course, it's great that people up north will get the chance to see him play.

Supposedly Koko on Sunday, ronnie Scott on Monday and Manchester next weekend. Apparently the band announced it tonight but I haven't seen official confirmation yet.

I really hope they sell tickets as both of those London shows will need some seriously long queueing time with this much notice and I ain't doing that! lol

Ive read it on three websites

http://www.drfunkenberry.com/2014/02/14/prince-3rdeyegirl-rock-kings-place-royally-announce-next-4-uk-concert-dates/

http://thebizzniz.com/prince-3rd-eye-girl-r-u-ready-london-show-tonight/

cant remember the other one.

MTV are tweeting that they were there when it was said. So are PrincepartyUK. So if untrue, that's alot of people all pretending they heard it. Seems good to me.

Well that does seem pretty confirmed then, excellent. cool

Then electric. Some prince on keyboard, Colonized mind, dreamer, chaos and disorder encore

Sorry about the disjointed info. Set list also included Guitar. Someone will have written it all down.

The was the usual aggressive security hassling people taking pictures. Distracting at times.

Took me about 20 minutes to join the queue, was 200 back. Seemed to me quite a few people had seen him in London already and some more than once. A couple of people left the queue saying they couldn't afford £70. I would have paid double.

Fuck me. If there are manchester gigs next weekend I'll well be queuing int rain. Wonder where if it's true - Larger venue if it's just a wee sojourn to civilisation?

Same here mate, made my night this news, i think its been posted by a few people who were there so reckon its true, larger venue id hope, a few to choose from that are free, Bridgewater hall, The Lowry, Victoria Warehouse list goes on of top potential venues in Manc biggrin

Personally i'd love it at Victoria Warehouse, or the Albert Hall has just re-opened again, would be a nice size

So it seems Manchester is getting something??? Time to get excited all over again. No announcement on venue but previous post looks a strong possibility. Spent 2 weeks glued to prince.org and twitter with no likelihood of seeing a London gig, another 7 days looking for a Manchester announcement should b a breeze.

The Mike Lowry is a good call, I like that, or if it's gonna be smaller then there's the Apollo or the Academy? More flippantly there's always Preston Guildhall or The Moses Gate in Farnworth (where the mighty Endorphinemachine have graced) - either way look forward to queuing in the rain with u other purple dickheads!

Lowry would be brilliant, seats all have a good view of the stage. Apollo and academy already have things in i think them two dates, Albert hall is 3000 Capacity same or more with Victoria warehouse in Trafford.

Friday is getting booked off work anyway if its not advanced tickets and i shall be lingering around in town like no one owns me.

I never really understood in the past when people said Prince can screw with your head.

But he can & he does... I'm being drawn into this & my head is seriously screwed with all this 'will he, won't he & where...?'

While I absolutely loved SBE, I'm not sure I can keep up with all these last minute thoughts of dashing somewhere with limited info & no idea whether I'll get in. And the feeling of regret when I don't make an attempt.

PLEASE!!! Just give me details of some mainstream place with advance tickets!!! Before I totally lose what little remains of my sanity...

It's hard to keep track of the timeline. I'm guessing I was queuing for an hour and a half maybe, maybe 2 hours. I was by no means the last one in but Prince had begun when I got into the auditorium. Missed the gig announcements. Keyboardist Josh came up the queue outside and took down some questions from people in the queue to put to Prince in the Q&A. There was a bit of shelter at the bottom of the queue but bet it was cold at street level.

Hotel booked!!

Not a chance with the London shows, tempted with KoKo & will try, but can just see the queue being HUGE & from very early on.

Can anyone recommend the area in Manchester that's going to be the most central to hang around in. I hung around Camden last night to no avail, I have to see a show!!!

Just got home from queueing at King's Place, I arrived at appprox 2050 after abandoning my bf, didn't get in but met lovely people in the queue and lovely Harriet gave me a lift home. We stood in the freezing rain and wind for about 2 hours then were told by security, definitely no third show. But I imagine amazing for people who got in.

Just in the centre mate loads of places to loiter In manchester, around oxford road and that would be best. If its not tickets we could arrange a meet up or something with the guys from here somewhere central and possibly close to a taxi rank lol

I'm going to try for Koko. Don't mind what the tickets cost, the higher the better to put 'normal folk' off queuing! What do people think a realistic eta is?

Anybody else travelling up from Brighton?
