They are one dimensional as in they pretty much play rock in 3rdEyeGirl and are not very funky. I was surprised though they that they did well as part of NPG although Ida moves over to guitar and Andrew Gouché plays bass for most of the show and he also had Rhani Krija, a percussion player who made some of the tunes sound like DC Go Go which was cool.

I agree, I saw them 3 times and was totally not impressed

I've been a HUGE Prince fan since the early 80s and have seen him more times than I can remember. Am loving the 3rdEYEGIRL stuff and would desperately love to seem them play live. Sadly, I live in Scotland and I'm not prepared to travel all the way down to London on the off-chance that I might be able to bag a gig or two. But hey, that's life. No point whining about it. If Prince chooses to announce gigs a few hours before they take place, that's his choice. Just my own tough shit for living in the wrong place at the wrong time.

In short, Prince doesn't owe you anything. Stop whining.

I agree. This is driving me potty. I'm in Cardiff and so nearly took a train into London yesterday on the off-chance but I don't have the money to gamble with so I didn't. Damn it! And.....who knows if I would've even picked up the news from 6 music and actually got there. It doesn'y seem fair and I just hope that there are some gigs at least with ticket sales in advance as this is simply not possible otherwise and it's a killer reading the reveiws afterwards. Here's hoping!.....

I agree that it is poorly planned and managed, but how far are you willing to put yourself out these days? I was on the front barrier in 86, and the front barrier this week, and I live in East Anglia, with a major job and kids in tow.

Give me the choice of pre sale and 22,000 at the 02, and hit and run with a 1000 in Electic Ball room and I'd pick the latter every time.

There seems to be a belief among some on here that these gigs are being attended almost exclusively by Londoners which from my understanding of the ones i've been to , simply isn't the case. Just around me yesterday there was a couple from Bath, A dude from a little village in Oxfordshire ,another two from from up north( manchester i think), and a guy who'd been up from Brighton several times this week. For the second gig i was chatting to a chap who woke up in Paris on Saturday hopped on a Eurostar to London because he had 48 hrs notice of the Camden gigs and decided that was how he wanted to spend his time. From twitter ,there was a lass from Poland. London has great connections and if people really want to see Prince, it's easier to get to for more people than a lot of other places.

He probably had an easier journey than most people in the UK. One train from Paris to St Pancras and he's within a mile of the Camden gigs! That's pretty amazing really.
