Joni: A Portrait in Song (Toronto June 18/19)

There is an event that is part of the Luminato Arts Festival here in Toronto coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

A concert at Massey Hall - a beautiful old theatre that Prince played during the One Night Alone tour.

It celebrates Joni Mitchell's 70th birthday and although she is rather reclusive, she is coming home to Canada from California to attend the concerts.

Feautured performers - Rufus Wainwright, Glen Hansard, Chaka Khan (friend of Prince).............

Now I have tickets and have been working on a theory that you know who may walk out, unannounced, from the wings, sit at a piano, and play A Case of You.

We all know Prince always names Joni as a key influence.

And we know Prince would not participate in a cheesy tribute album, but HE DID for Joni's very tasteful tribute album a few years ago.

And what did he play in Denver at the end of the recent tour? A Case of You. Interesting choice.

And what did 3rdEyeGirl tweet out a few days ago? A video of, for her, a very rare interview Joni just did in advance of the Massey Hall shows.

My wife thinks I am reading too much into all these facts.

Do folks think I am crazy? You can tell me the truth.

Definately not crazy since *Prince* is so unpredictable.

I'm hoping for the same thing to happen at an upcoming event I will be attending in July in which there is no apparent reason why he should/would show up, but still.....anything is possible!!

Even though he may not take the stage, maybe he'll be there incognito...you never know.
