UK shows mentioned

Hi all,

Just came across this - not sure what their sources are or how reliable...

http://www.getmein.com/news/rock-and-pop/1037/prince-to-announce-intimate-shows.html

I think these are just regurgitated reports of what first appears in The Sun(?) a few weeks ago. Which was then reported as false on DrFunkenberry.com (source was Prince's camp).

I was listening to either Radio 2 or it might have been a commercial radio station (Capital/Heart) and the DJ stated Prince was about to announce a small venue UK tour very soon. Stated as if it was fact.

I think that he will appear in the UK at some point this year but I don't think this is it. Just a hunch.

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

My bet is that he'll show up at Glastonburry.

Sold out already, though.

The headliners have already been announced for Glastonbury so i cant see that happenning at all

Prince would command a huge fee for an event like that so I dont think he would be playing second fiddle if he was appearing

It would be nice to see him play small venues in the UK like o2 Indigo again for a few nights.

I think he would sell out very easily with his UK fan base

Fan base?!!! Lol that has shrunk to such a small number it would probably fit into a garden shed lol

Seriously though if he did do some UK shows he would have to keep ticket prices at reasonable level

Sure didn't seem that way when he was breaking the world record for most arena shows with his 21 nights at the O2.

I agree

I think the UK would be one of the few places where he would easily still sell out a high number of shows

O2 audiance was not that English.

He only was in the O2, not anywhere else in Europe.

A lot of people from all over Europe came to London 4 that concert. Me included.
