PRINCE PLAYS MONTREUX 2013 !!!! 13 + 14 + 15 JULY 2013 AUDITORIUM STRAVINSKY MONTREUX PART 2

3 Nights, 3 Shows, He's back!

After his two previous appearances at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2007 and 2009, Prince is back to give three exceptional concerts on 13, 14 and 15 July 2013.

This musical genius first came to Montreux in 2007 to perform an exclusive concert, and returned in 2009, giving two shows in the same evening. This year he is back, confirming his fondness for Montreux, to give three exceptional concerts on three consecutive dates: 13, 14 and 15 July 2013, at the Auditorium Stravinski.

Groovy, funky and the undisputed master of improvisation, Prince’s performances are all unique and unpredictable. There is no doubt that his three concerts in Montreux will make Festival history once again.

Auditorium Stravinski

Prince 1st show - Saturday 13 July, 8 pm
Prince 2nd show - Sunday 14 July, 8 pm
Prince 3rd show - Monday 15 July, 8 pm

"Every day during the Festival, tickets for the concert of the same evening will be available for sale as of 4pm at the Box Office of the Festival, situated at the main entrance of the Music and Convention Center.

Important: If no concert tickets are available via our website, solely one ticket per person can be purchased."

So you've answered already your question.......

Just to confirm: in 2009 I went to Montreux without any ticket ( the online-tix were sold out) and I could get them for both concerts at the box-office !

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for 1 standing ticket for any/each of the Montreux gigs. Has anyone got a spare they want to sell?

Best,

2009 and NSJ were great diverse setlists with Heaven Knows being a favourite of mine now. Setlists for 'Laughing out Loud' razz also show a whole new Prince. I wonder if we'll be able to hear the Breakdown, Endorphinemachine, Screwdriver concert intro on 3rdEyed Girl website soon. Really intrigued as to how he's going to break it down in Jazz for Montreaux though. I'll be 'Lavauxing' in Sintra & Estoril Portugal so thanks to all who keep the site updated with setlists and concert comments. Go Prince!!! Keep up the good vibe and how about some more streaming or Dr Funkberry Chocolates? My socks are back on cool

I was at the 2009 concerts also and I think the website stated that year that 50 tickets would be sold from the box office on the day. There were loads of people selling them outside the venue too.

Less than a month now, I'm starting to get excited. What kind of concert will we see? Will he bring his 3rdEyeGirl show to Montreux or is he preparing something different for this occasion? My guess is, it's going to be Prince & 3rdEyeGirl.

Ida Nielsen wrote somewhere that it was time to practise the guitar again, suggesting that Prince will bring the full NPG with Andrew Gouche on bass.

The wooh is on the one!

That could be interesting, too. As long as they have an interesting setlist. And some horns, please.
