going to early show 4/23....$250 is a lot but people it's a place that holds 800 people!

If prices were low, I'd be going to multiple shows but I'm happy just to see him in this tiny place!

There's nothing like it. Last time I saw him was at the troubadour in la. Less than 2 feet away. Don't need to be that close but cool nonetheless . Is the whole show a GM admission? What is the sound like at DNA now? It's been years since I've been there .

I ended buying tickets to both of the Saturday shows in Vegas for less than what I would've paid to see even one in SF. I would've liked to see him in the bay area again, but the whole thing is so overrun with scalpers that I just decided fuck it, road trip. Never been to Vegas before!

Really? I found the DNA site to be incredibly user friendly. Completed my purchases for 2 shows in seconds. Agree the price-tag stings, but I've paid more to travel to see him... And knowing that Prince is playing 3 blocks from my office , well I just can't not go smile

Dang it - my wife and I are travelling in New Zealand at the moment, and only just found out about these shows too late for the initial ticket sale.

We're hoping that we can pick up some secondary market tickets at a vaguely reasonable price - and have created a wanted post in the marketplace.

The DNA lounge would be an awesome place to see Prince, as we've only been to arena shows before. smile

Yeah, by the time I hit the site to buy tickets an hour or two after they went on sale, all four shows were cleaned out, and it was offto cragislist to find the least offensive deal possible. After doing the math, I decided seeing multiple shows in Vegas was worth more than seeing one overpriced show here. I'd rather deal with ticketmaster than ticket scalpers any day of the week.

I took a look at Craigslist today... One person listed a single ticket for $750. Smh...

Highway Robbery, it's just a shame how folks try to capitalize, it's not good Karma. I wanted to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers on NYE in Vegas, but they were sold out, so I posted on their site that if anyone had an extra ticket, I would be interested. Anyway, a week later a lady from Japan e-mailed me and offered me tickets at face value. so we met up in Vegas the night of the show and she actually sold them to me $30 less than face value. (she was a die-hard fan and knew how important it was to me to see the Peppers)...You need to find a true fan who understands...And i know Prince has massive fans, so try to reach out and find one......best of luck!

No one answered my question so I thought I'd ask again. What are the acoustics like at DNA for live
Music ? Am I gonna be disappointed. I'd hate the show to be ruined by bad sound.

Artists across a diverse spectrum of genres perform there and everything has always sounded solid to me. Certain audiophiles might find something to be critical about, but I've never left DNA disappointed with the sound.

Thought I'd post this for anyone even thinking about paying the exorbitant prices that are showing up on Craigslist; seems legit since it was stipulated when purchasing the tix that you would have to show the CC that you made the purchase with to get in;

I take it tickets were "will call" only for the SF shows?

Yes. From the ticket confirmation email:

"To pick up a will-call ticket order, you must show us the credit card used to make the purchase; and you must know the six letter confirmation code. You may not pick up a ticket order if the name on the credit card does not match the name used to purchase the tickets. You or your friend may pick up your tickets starting at the posted door time, or any time after the event starts as long as the box office is still open."

I am seeing tix in CL going for 1k per. Imagine the surprise when you get to the door and told you can't get in because you don't have the credit card used to purchase said ticket...

We've decided to make a few more Prince tickets available! A small number of tickets for all four shows will go on sale Friday at Noon, so get ready...

There will be no tickets available at the door, sorry.

Also, we are taking some strong anti-scalping measures for this show, so please don't let yourself get ripped off.

lol Are they expanding their building? Or did they decide they can pack a few more bodies in the same space?

I am bitter and just reported all the CLscalpers as spam because my dad wants to go to one of these shows and couldn't get a ticket because of scalper jerks. I know I can't stop them, but it's still fun flagging them <3

pat

I'm really surprised he didn't schedule more shows in SF; he knows he's particularly popular in the Bay Area. But I suppose since the tour was scheduled on short notice, it wasn't possible to do any more nights? DNA's calendar looks pretty full.
