A Prince App.

Partly inspired by his recent Samsung gig:

Prince likes to deliver and control his content. The best way to do this surely, is with an app.

GPS "Prince is playing x miles from you" updates

If during a concert P decideds to press the button that says broadcast - people get a notification saying "Prince wants you to listen to this", a couple of seconds of buffering and you're getting a live stream.

In app purchases for concert tickets/presales/merch/Prince composed ringtones (lol)

I think he said lately that he was done with albums for the time being. Which is cool... The problem has always been getting word out that there was new material floating on the web... An app would notify anyone with interest almost instantly - be it music, videos, podcasts, ticketsales/presales.

Sure, a website would do the same thing... but an app is kind of closed off from the rest of the web. You're not checking you bank and searching for somewhere to eat while downloading a song from the web. If you're using your phone/tablet then you're probably holding it with one hand and operating with another. Plus you can add all the fancy and pretty transitions.

The lotusflower website may have been slightly more interesting had it been touch enabled.

Removing record labels... replacing them with IT firms haha. It *could* work... in a way. If an artist decided they wanted that kind of connection to their fan base.
