i'm going to the 30th may show in melbourne, section 23. i'm just wondering if you guys know how it works getting your ticket sent overseas? i didn't select box office collection as it wasn't my credit card that i used and won't be able to take the card to australia so i'm a bit concerned about how it's going to arrive.

^I don't know anyone in Melbourne so will try to go to one of the meetups there as well as in Sydney and Brisbane...

I saw Prince in Sydney in 1992 & 2003 - in 03 I got front/centre at the soundcheck, first 5 rows at the show..that night he had an afterparty - not a show....the next night, when I was flying back to NZ he played an aftershow...I was gutted to miss the aftershow - so I'm gonna do my best to get to an aftershow this time....

This will be the 2nd and 3rd shows I've been to with Prince and I can't describe my anticipation...I've never been to any aftershows before though and don't really know how people find out where they take place and how they are organised etc. I would love to go if I could know the details at the time so hopefully there will be some info on the org or fb etc. Either way, seeing Prince again live is going to be the most indescribable experience - I can't believe it's happening so soon...

Well we shall hopefully, I arrive the 15th at 10.30am and are staying at the Mercure Welcome in Little Bourke Street and once I am ensconsced there, I will see if I can pick up my ticket and spend the day looking for Prince merchandise.

yeah he doesn't have a huge fan base in NZ - a lot of casual fans - but I still get asked if he is still called the 'symbol', and does he still make records...a lot of kids these days don't even know who he is...or just know him as the 'purple rain' guy....nuff said really

I went to Harvey Norman last weekend and was looking at new stereos. The guy had a cd holder and asked what I wanted to trial on there and there was a Prince CD in there. I left the stereo and joked I'd use the money to fly over and see him live instead and the on Monday I bought the tickets to the 26th Brissie show.

Nice one, where are you staying? I arrive Friday morning and leave Sunday morning as well.

Haven't a clue. Possibly looking at staying near the arena on Friday night and then finding somewhere closer to city centre for Saturday and bumming around Darling Harbour for a night... or training it back to the arena and buying a cheap ticket for the second gig... one of the two!

No, radio NZ,the government station. I co produced and voiced a 2 hr special for them on prince back in 2006.
