Well, it is a culture.

US shows always mention 'seats'.

Shows that are a bit more local to me, say in Europe, mostly will have a floor with general admission section(s) -unseated- and maybe seats around that floor.

The most desirable places are on the floor without the seats.

In France they even discount floor tickets every now and then.

Oh... nod

When you're 5'2", and the 6'5" guy in front of you doesn't care because he paid as much as you did, it's not so great on the floor.

Coupled with "cute vs. comfortable" shoes, and over-40 legs/knees, seats are just fine. biggrin

Get there sooner. Like I do. And yes, I am probably 6 foot plus.

And yes, they still to dare to bitch about my hat. (how stupid is that)

Why do you wear shoes?

To walk? To stand?

Or just to look whatever? (nobody will notice in a standing crowd, the stuff on stage is more interesting)

And then, at a concert?

(not a gala, not a dancehall thing, etc)

So what do you intend to explain?

Obviously I am not female, and I know what I want to see in and on a female, but I do care about getting rid of unsuitable footwear. Yes you may, yes you can.

This is 2012 and there must be that extra pair that is both comfortable and not too afwul in your eyes. The pair that also supports 200 meter sprints and a few hours of standing.

Good luck!

Um, ok.

Are you trying to turn what was supposed to be a light-hearted exchange into an argument?

It's not that serious.

Not to self: Don't go to a concert with udo. He'll judge the hell out of me... lol

Argument? It's the truth.
And it correlates very much with the venues we'd like to see w.r.t. the subject of this thread.
With easier shoes you feel better, you enjoy yourself a tad more.

I'll be paying most attention to the direction where the stage is.

My vote selfishly goes to Long Island.

He hasn't been to Nassau Colisseum in forever.

The last time he did the Jones Beach theater I was broke as f*ck and stupidly decided to be "responsible" and not charge tickets to my Amex.

confused If you were a female who is not 6" something then you would understand there is another reason for wearing high heels to shows apart from how they look and that is that you can actually see anything at all. I hardly ever wear high heals anymore, but I need to wear them to shows because already in the 3rd row I would hardly see much otherwise. So for me sadly uncomfortable high heels that hurt my feet are the only suitable footwear for a concert which is not seated. Thank God I don't go to concerts in the Netherlands anymore because overthere not even the highest heels didn't help much.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I was there... Driving out there from NJ was a nightmare! omfg

But I don't blame you.

That's why I agreed with the person who said, "Newark, NJ".

21 nights in the netherlands with:

1 or 2 big shows for the hits, stadium size and at nice price to attract the masses

smaller shows like in Ahoy 'one nite alone' style

a small clubtour

and a surprise here and there all for normal prices, all these for lets say not above 75 euro
