Well...here's a sincere complaint:

If not at all of the shows, at least at the last one, Prince should introduce his full band appropriately and respectfully.

On this one I wholeheartedly agree.
He randomly gave props to individuals from time to time but never full scale introductions.

If I had a band with players of that caliber, i'd salute them profusely on a nightly basis.
The "band" was a major inducement for me to attend as many shows as I did based on the possiblility that each might be given the opportunity to cut loose on occasion.

It's about respect, musician to musician at the very least.

Yeah that would be nice... I called Ida "Rhonda" in my writeup of opening night! Well, it looked like her from the loge, and he didn't say otherwise, and he did call it NPG! So...

u hit it on the head. as i have seen other acts live it's a nice touch when the band memebers are introduced cause without a band a artist can't do a show unless it's a DAT. i've attended shows and a particular solo happens, i would like 2 know who that was that did the solo. if lenny never introduced cindy blackmon on the drums would anyone know but lenny and the other band mates?

when ida was announced as a member of the band, so many youtube clips popped up on the org yet during this tour she rarely got a mention. rhonda was focused throughout previous tours and fans became a admire of her craft.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

LayDownMisty

let's face it

Prince is not really free

He plays covers so he does not bore himself to death with his hits, which he has to play - or he would not be able to sell as many tickets

and many of us die-hards would rather he just promote his new material in smaller venues

but we sit back and watch him play the same money making material every night

does not mean we have to like it

it is like going to see Prince do the old Prince and nobody does the old Prince like Prince

but I would rather see Prince

and the $25 tickets was not his idea or something he wanted to do

Prince - not black, not white........just COOL
