You will be amazed.

Can't you check the weather forecasts when they're done?

I am not Bart but now I am amazed.

you obviously know nothing about british weather reports

Obviously you neglect to get your weather reports (forecast I'd say) from someplace else.

If you are really that much in doubt, pack for it.

And yes, I was soaked after Werchter 2010.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Bit of rain Wednesday night, then it's dry all the way.. boogie

Straw hat and shades, seem to be the order of the day.

if it was just 1 day i'd throw caution to the wind as normal, but it's 3 or more nights potentially for me at least. i have a friday ticket for the eagles, hoping for a saturday ticket, and you never know what i might be upto on monday night. it might be a manic monday

i was just wondering if people were going to dress appropriate for a festival or not give a fuck and just take the sunburn along with the rain

a colleague is just back from glasto, sunburned all over as he took his top off

basically

the eggs will make me fart a lot, which means i get more space to move in my front row middle spot. plus i can light my farts to find lost money on the ground

7 day forecasts are notoriously unreliable, heck in this country (UK) as we all know, the weather can change from one minute to the next lol...

...me personally, i'm expecting hailstones the size of tennis balls or a good old fashioned humdinger of an electrical storm with forked lightning. That would clear a nice path to the front of the stage...after that i'd only have to contend with a horseback jousting contest to the death with UNIQUE lol

Really excited now!

Just got back from Glastonbury yesterday (if you're worried about mud, you should have been there!), where I saw brilliant sets from Janelle Monae and Queens of the Stone Age (as well as playing 4 gigs of my own!) and just had an outstanding time.

And now I've seen the Canal+ footage and just can't wait - its going to be great! I'll most likely be wearing "festival gear" with one of my old Prince t-shirts and I have big thick dreads which go beyond my backside, so I'm fairly easy to spot......do say hello anyone on here smile

...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

I was chatting to Mamas Gun after a recent gig and they said that they would on in "an aftershow" capacity after Prince - their Facebook page now states that they we will be on Stage 2 at 23:40. So I presume that there is no curfew and that Prince will be playing up to 23:30 and who knows if he'll join the aftershow.

Ok, so I finally conceded and got a weekend ticket as they went down to £120. I aslo figured that this late in the day it's less likely 'he' will cancel!

Can't wait to go, hope to meet some of you as I'm flying solo. Sorry if it's earlier in the thread somewhere, but is there a meeting point arranged for orgers? Too much to do before taking Friday off to backtrack!

Thanks in advance,

G

i presume stage 1 is the main stage and stage 2 a smaller one, probably in a tent to keep the noise down

i doubt he would play with them after playing to thousands more in a big place. it would just be pandemonium

I went last year and the main stage has a 23.00 curfew, the tents have had a 02.30 curfew.

expect the same this year.

Given that its supposed to be dry for the next few days and all weekend, I don't think mud will be an issue. Even at Glastonbury, where we had torrential rain in the few days preceeding and 12 hours of persistent rain on Friday, it still all dried up on Sunday and was virtually non-existant by the end of Sunday. I can't advise on the rest, as I've never been to this festival before.

my collegue at glasto this year said the same. i was more concerned that we get the shit end of the festival after 2 days of folk trodding on the grounds

i think i will just do my usual and throw caution to the wind and dress in shorts and trainers and t shirt, and if it rains i'll be sending a very unpleasant email to prince for letting jehova fuck up the day

What kind of capacity are the tents? If Prince is in the mood and on site it wouldn't surprise me for him to turn up. Failing that Mamas Gun are excellent live and my back will be done in by 2:30.

Why on earth would anyone want to buy one of those? Spend loads of money to be in the most BORING place of any festival!!! Seriously, the party is not backstage, its out there, in the festival itself.

If your camping the weekend then car park will be no problem, but if it's the same as last year you will have problems turning up on sunday, also the roads are pretty bad and narrow, you cant park on any roads around the place.

I'm only going on the sunday this year, so im thinking of walking from the train station. It about a mile and a half walk.
