I noticed today that no section 1 riser seats were available when I called (I asked) and bought loge seats for the 28th and 29th, but then riser 1 was available later. Coulda saved some bucks! I assume riser 1 starts out at the front in single letters (A, for instance) and then progresses to double-letters (AA) and then triple letters (AAA) to the very back of the seats. Sounds like you got some great seats Riser 1, Row D for Friday and Saturday. Don't know how you did it! I would've liked to save some money on section 1!

It's just the opposite. Risers started off with the triple letters starting from BBB, then double AA, then single letters.

That seems strange to me... If I had waited I could have gotten triple letter riser 1 seats... Sigh. But I do have nice loge seats in section 7 row G!

RISERs do go from AAA-GGG, AA-GG, then A... I sat in ROWC one night and it was still awesome!

Your case could be because many of the triple and double letter RISER seats were held as Official Platinum Seats and going for up to $150 via Ticketmaster this time around. You can still see this "red tab" on the site for some nights. I believe when these don't sell, they are re-released at the normal face value.

for who's already been there, is there much difference between a loge seat (but last rows) and a colonnade seat (first rows)?

you're better off being higher up b/c the stage is so high. we were in row bb for the opening show of the residency and though amazing to be so close, we didn't realize how much better row H was on 4/30. you get a much better perspective of the show.

I always end up in the loge! Except for one night at the New Jersey concerts when I was on the floor at the tip of the arrow and my view was blocked by huge speakers. Fortunately the row in front of me was empty and I climbed over the seats and moved to the aisle where I had a great view. But I did notice that the people in the risers behind us had the best view of all for the arrow tip.

IMO, no...

if you can get the about first 15 rows in colonnade, it's still a good view to me.

Wish I would've known about the presale at noon. I work nights and didn't see anything before I went to bed Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning. Glad I got an email about it from live nation. Had to wait until 5pm (once I was off phones at work) to get on the site, but glad I was able to get 2 tix in LOGE area. Taking my best friend. Her first Prince concert! Goin on Saturday!

Not much of a difference at all......just shoot for Colonade sections 1 thru 9 OR 28 thru 36 since those face the front of the stage (the arrow) as well as the two sides he faces often during the show. FYI his piano is located right in front of Loge section 9.

I went to my first Prince concert last week on Friday night, had VIP4 Table 2 for $200. Going back this Saturday with my two sisters. Our "first" shows were all on different dates, but we all bought VIP tix then. This time, we opted for the $25 tix, I tried so many times to find better seats, I think I got the ticketmaster site at work blocked (get a 403 error now (on all emp computers) tech support said the site is currently being evaluated lol) Glad I saw it so close the first time, cause our tix are for Col 30. Hoping to go back if he's still performing the the first weekend in June to celebrate my birthday

The Hollywood Park parking lot directly across from the Forum is acessible. They charge only 5.00 cheaper then the Forum, about 20 bucks.

Someone told me they waited and got great tickets the day of, I waited and had no luck! They did have seats but they were nosebleeds and passed as i was super spoiled before, lol!
