Porbably some more talentless has-beens or some band featuring a female that little P wants to sleep with.

We'll let you know.

LMAO!!! I doubt P is trying to bed Sharon Jones. She's totally not his type. She actually has talent. Plus she's so far from what Prince likes physically.

Prince esta muerto...

No kidding. I was just trying to make a joke out of that rediculous statement about his openers. I do think Esperanza Spalding is a very promising young talent and she is gorgeous! A bit out of her element playing in an arena though. Bring back Maceo, The Time and Sheila!

Nothing against Esperanza, but for MSG as an opener, they need someone who will keep the energy up before Prince gets on stage. It will be a Monday night, with people coming straight from work, so they'll need someone to help motivate the energy and keep it pumped up, especially if it's the last show for the NYC area. shrug

I agree. I think we can all agree on The Time! I'd rather hear them do Cool, Jungle Love and The Bird. Prince has better songs off of his own albums and singles to play. See y'all at the NYC finale!

What do you think the chances are it will be Erykah Badu? She is playing with him the weekend before and lives in NYC.

Problem is she can prob sell out MSG on her own and it's pretty late in the game to have such a big act open.

DeVotchka or Beirut would be really cool, or even Montreal's Arcade Fire.

The Time would be a great opening act at MSG I think..

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

If not Erykah Badu, which would be cool, then maybe:

Ledisi

Chrisette Michelle

These 2 may be good openers as well, even though more energetic artists for an MSG crowd would be preferrable. But if push comes to shove, Erykah Badu or the Time may be good choices. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Prince would be 2 intimidated by Grace. He likes pretty little 'yes' women. If he started any of his bullshit with her she'd pick him up & eat him like a chicken drumstick!!!
