Prince Concert Tickets at MSG SOLD OUT!

Billboard reports that the first two shows Dec. 18th and 29th at Madison Square Garden sold out in only 30 minutes. Hitpredictor.com asks: if the fans think he will add more dates to the lineup, or will Prince just play the five shows(3 in New Jersey) and call it a day? I think, he will add more dates. What do you think?

It is not a suprise that the first two shows sold out. All his Fans know that Prince

is an Astonishing: Musician, Singer, Entertainer, Lyricist, Producer, Business man, Et Cetera. Hail to the PRINCE!

yeahthat Jesus Christ. He's probably so far down the "Astonishing Businessman" list, he's saying hello to the guy that came up with New Coke.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

how many times has he been sued for NOT paying bills or flaking on contracts or for not paying his taxes. He is NO businessman.

I don't think he'll add anymore dates unless the NJ shows sell out. I think he'll do more shows, unannounced in smaller venues on off nights if he stays in the NY area the whole time.

and has actively sought legal action against free publicity

case and point: I was aware of a band, and I listened to a few of their songs on youtube. the more I heard the more I liked, SO i went to best buy and got a boxed set of all of their albums! without youtube I would not have developed the interest.

I did spend a lot of money on the Paisley Park studio complex and other music ventures but I do OK.

That is the funniest thing I've ever read on this message board in my many years of lurking. Had I not finally joined the forum at the W2A onset, I would have tonight, just to high-five you on the New Coke comment. Kudos. falloff New Coke.

Heavy sigh.

While I can appreciate your enthusiasm for all things Purple, please understand that many of the so called "haters" who post less-than complimentary remarks about Prince are indeed fans. Fans of the music. We've been around long enough to know his schtick and are grounded enough in reality, that dramatic statements about how perfect Prince is are usually addressed as either bait, or just plain old insanity.

Which category should we place "All his Fans know that Prince is an Astonishing: Musician, Singer, Entertainer, Lyricist, Producer, Business man, Et Cetera. Hail to the PRINCE!" under?

The criticism about his past business issues are uncalled-for. He can't do everything. No one can. He had people working for him who should take some of the blame. I do not think that he was involved in all the details, e.t.c. Anyway, the past is the past. There is always the future.

you called his business skills Astonishing! that is simply and demonstrable untrue. it is nothing personal against you. but he is not, by any measure, Astonishing at business.

I said All his skills are Astonishing. The people on this site who have a Business should talk about their business expertise. We all would like to hear about it and even learn something. Especially, if it pertains to the Music Business.
