Jersey is cool with this NYer. I'm going to take a trip on NJ Transit to NJ to see the man. Then I'll be on the subway to see the man at MSG. Its easy to get around the NY/NJ area so I don't see why folks won't do the right thing and get themselves a ticket to the IZOD Center.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I agree. I commute every single day to and from NY and NJ.

Me too I want to be able to tell my children my first concert was a Prince concert, I never thought i would get a chance to see him in 2010.

But I always thought it was better for a lot of people to be there because of the energy the performer gets from them.

It was soooo much fun! I was just reminiscing with one of the women about it on FB recently. giggle

I was 16... we were on a marching band trip to Six Flags Great Adventure. We found out there was going to be a concert, so a bunch of us camped out in front of the gates. We were right in front of the stage, and VERY silly.

JD Nicholas had just replaced Lionel Richie, so we were love

They put on a great show!

Ok, I just got great tix for the 14th (section 120, row 7, seats 1 and 2) but I can't get anything that good for the 15th. Weird. Maybe we'll chance it and just come into town with tix for the first show and trust we can get the second show while there.

Or, I was thinking since I couldn't get the great seats I want, I should just get cheap tix to get in the building and go from there.

What would you do?

If you're going to be in town and want to see another show, why not get any tix you can get?

Yes, but it's an amazing time in NYC around that time. It won't be difficult to get around if your hotel is right in the area or close to it. If people are coming in by local trains (A,C,E,), it takes them right in Penn Station, so there really should be no problem getting in and out.

I know it's going to be crazy, but I am soooo glad I got the tickets for the 29th. They are the perfect Christmas persent for my son...all he wanted was to see Prince, Star Wars Legos and a few Wii games.

Fortunately since I'll be taking the train in, the worst part for me will be in Penn Station unless we go to BBQ's to eat or to Garrett's for some popcorn.

I just didn't want to deal with holiday traffic/public transportation.

It would have been fun to go together, tho. biggrin

I printed out the seating charts from both venues and had them in front of me before I clicked on "continue".

I do this every time I buy tickets. I would never purchase tickets sight unseen. Sometimes the chart doesn't accurately tell where I'm going to be, but at least I have an idea.

I really like the venues that offer a "view from the seat". nod

During Musicology, we had to trust that the seats would be decent.

For the sound check of "One Nite Alone", we got to choose our seats when we got there (at least in Lincoln Center we did) and were told once we picked, we couldn't move.

That was nice. biggrin
