That is wonderful feedback everyone smile Glad to hear this tour is a success. I'm still not sure why people don't post as much as they used to.

My guess on why there isn't such a big posting hype around this tour must be cause we all were a bit surprised by the sudden dates, so we only had like a month or 2 to get fired up, then the venues and countries were kind of unusual to, it was a hit&run kinda thing and then there were all the speculations and fears up untill a week before the gigs if it would really happen or not. Eventhough I enjoyed a great Werchter gig, the whole ticket sale mix-up, slow sales and strange overall feeling made it a Tour Bizarre which led the orgers stunned...I GUESS?? Besides that Prince has a setlist that is not very surprising (overall very similar to the 2004 Musicology tour and the O2 shows), so without saying that the shows were predictable, the setlists don't give us the chance to start a post which is interesting enough to share. So please don't interpretate this post as a complaint just another light on the case. LOVE IT that Prince came to Europe this summer!

Great point biggrin

You'd be smiling too if you got the cash he did.!!

As he said in the 20ten interview, he only came to Europe as he got an offer he couldn't refuse!!

I estimate the tour total to be over 10M USD. But what is the actual number?

BTW: Why did so few people go to a better spot to listen to the soundcheck?

Where people queued the soundcheck could barely be heard, if at all. At the right hand side of the Nikaia the sound was weak and access was barred.

Around the Nikaia via the left hand side made an improvement but getting closer to the motorcycle parkinglot the sound was good.

Did anyone check the sound via the back of the Nikaia?

The soundcheck had a few interesting songs: Act of God (original version, not Forver in my Life beat), part of Calhoun Square, some tries of Sssh, etc.

What was played at he soundcheck before Purple Rain?

I read that Misty Copeland appeared on-stage in Nice. Does anybody know why she was in Nice and not at the other shows? I.e.: coincidence? Planned?

She wasn't in Arras and didn't hear she performed during other shows (thx to Adam for the pix)

Merci beaucoup for the pix. Any more backgrounds on her appearance? Elsewhere I saw a number mentioned of 1.5M USD per show. That would give us 2 + (6 * 1.5) = 11M USD at least? (Roskilde was 2M)

Well, yes or no.

Was he arrested yet?

Or do we have confirmation that he is cooperating?

She is Misty Copeland, a soloist with American Ballet Theatre. She starred in Prince's Crimson and Clover video.
