Prince at North Sea Jazz festival Rotterdam?

Somebody in the tv business told me it is 95% sure that Prince will be jumping on stage with Stevie Wonder this coming Sunday. I will buy a ticket - and hope he's coming biggrin

I love Prince and chocolate - in that order

We're leaving on holiday on sunday, about a 10 hrs drive south. So you can imagine, for once, I wouldn't mind no aftershow... razz

See you in Werchter anyway! smile

Ooh, tough one!
Sunday tickets are going really cheap now that NL is in the World Cup final.

As if that will be a good thing.

I do hope they enforce the vuvuzela ban and perhaps also ban any orange colored objects.

And it seems tickets for North Sea Jazz on Sunday are currently beeing sold for half the price at marktplaats.nl - it collides with the Socces World Cup Final.

During Rock Werchter anything 'football' was prohibited, including the damned vuvuzela so I think we're safe.. smile As for orange in general....... wink

I bought tickets for NSJ for upcomming friday a few weeks ago because at first the line up was:

Norah Jones

Marcus Miller

EWF

Larry G. boxed

So I was kinda hoping that Prince would do an after concert at the NSJ.

Well...not. NSJ had / have skipped Larry so now it's :

"New York State of Mind" The Metropole Orchestra conducted by Vince Mendoza with special guests

Norah Jones

Marcus Miller

EWF

Oh well smile

I still look forward going.

Haha.

And how long will he be jumping on stage?

And why would he repeat the Paris thingie?

I mean: it is nice, yes, if he would appear.

But how much Prince would we see?

BTW:

Who's that somebody and what's his source?

Is his name Larry? Or Bria?

lol

I never thought I would be pissed abt him not showing up boxed

But. Reading the list of songs he played in Denmark, I am kinda glad I am going to the NSJ instead of Prince.

I have heared 'Purple Rain' abt 26 times life by now so.

wink

Only 26.

You're at the show for the other songs.

You could fetch us and yourself a few beers during P.R.

Too bad for you that you stay in the Netherlands.

How many times did you hear Purple Rain?

If you really mean 26 then something is wrong. Really.

Nothing childish, only factual here.

And do not start about restricting this to concerts as I stated the quality/quantity thing right now.

By guessing me at 13 you project an image that says abit more about you. You care about silly numbers. Easy comparisons. You get satisfaction from those.

I am not bitter.

I am trying to make decisions in a slightly wise manner, depending on factors and how much I know about them.

Thanks for that! It is just a rumour, possibly because he played with Stevie in France last week. It would make sense to fly to Austria in preparation. So yeah, we'll just have to see and keep checking Dr. Funkenberry. And now, will it be Spain or Holland ? razz

Final radio song and message from Stevie Wonder on Radio 6 at NSJ...No Prince wasn't there. At one moment, Stevie started playing a Spanish number and they thought, that was the moment for Prince's entree. ie."Poor Holland you lost to Spain but don't worry, we have Prince here for you. smile But no such luck. Stevie was mean to play that number!smile Still, I'm glad I didn't miss Prince in R'dam.
