thanks. fingers crossed i get a gold circle, and it doesn't turn into dublin again. You can buy a combination ticket for concert + train + bus at the NMBS website : https://buy.b-rail.be/eTi....do?lang=3 Click on the B-excursions button. Sales also starts at April 22nd. No fear for a repeat of Dublin, because the concert is organised by Live Nation, a concert operator with an excellent reputation. [Edited 4/20/10 4:19am] [Edited 4/20/10 4:20am]

Well if he plays on the sunday and your over 60 you get in free lol! Or you can take your granny!
"Free admittance for plus-60-year-olds If you are 60 years old or more you can visit Roskilde Festival free of charge on Sunday 4 July 2010. The idea of granting free access to the elderly part of the population was realised in 1991. The festival decided that all citizens in Roskilde at the age of 50 years or above should have the possibility of experiencing Roskilde Festival, so that knowledge and facts formed the understanding of the big event – rather than rumours and prejudice. The following year, the initiative was expanded so that it included all 50-year-olds and over, regardless of address and nationality. Since then the initiative has become an enormous success, and the number of visitors has increased tremendously. For instance, in 2005 there were 5,889 Sunday guests over 50, and in 2004 the number was 4,889. In fact, the number of guests with free Sunday admittance has doubled since year 2000. This included, a.o., extra expenses for admittance service. Therefore, Roskilde Festival limited this arrangement in 2006 by raising the age limit for Sunday guests with free admittance to 60 years. This also applies for 2010." NPGUK

I don't know what Glastonbury Festival you've been to and in what dimension? I go go to Glastonbury because that is exactly THE type of place where that kind of thing never happens. All other UK festivals maybe... But Glasto is the complete opposite. In fact my brother has been to Roskilde and that happened there. My thoughts exactly. Doesn't happen at the Big Chill either. But they like to keep their music quite eclectic so don't expect to see a pop act like Prince at that one Lot's of funk there though. We've got the Phenomenal Handclap Band too this year!

Not much for festivals but hey if Prince is there Im there Now if they could just tell us what day he'll be playing so we can buy the one-day-ticket!!!! Feel good feel better Norah I don't know how it works, but I saw that you can buy one day tickets, so shouldn't they put up a specific date for the show? I can't see any dates for any of the performers...

They've been trying to book him for yars and i know from an excellent source that the owners of Glastonbury Festivals Michael and Emily Eavis tried to get him for the 40th anniversary this year. It is just days before Denmark.
Bet he wanted too much money! Little greedy bumface. Oh well Stevie Wonder it is. he can get more money from other gigs. glasto doesn't normally pay that well as they have so many acts. most bands do it for the esteem or promotion, just like the usual folk who used to do all the charidee gigs in the 80s and 90s and see record sales shoot through the roof plus i can't see prince in hi heeled wellies dodging bottles of piss being thrown at the stage, can you? Believe it or not, we are a decade or 2 out from that time. It's not the same. Ticket sales (and record sales) have changed dramatically. If this were 1990, Lady Gaga would've been a diamond seller off her first album. Things change, babe.

I would travel to any one of these countries for a one off P gig. but not for a festival appearance. Done it many times in the past and to me at least, it never feels like a real gig. hate having to wade through the other acts and the piss heads. And a lot of the time the gigs themselves are short.
Sorry didn't mean to sound negative, P gotta eat (diamonds) so this will no doubt pay for some of his mis doings. I notice no Ireland gig then P? "My God it's full of Stars"

Actually the gig in Belgium is not part of a festival. It does take place on the festival grounds of Rock Werchter and the name of the format is Werchter Boutique. It was a new kind of festival format that failed miserably in 2008, so the year after they only featured 1 act : Madonna. This year it's Prince. Madonna did a full Sweet and Sticky concert, no doubt Prince will do a full show too [Edited 4/20/10 8:00am]

This is great news!!
I've been 2 the Nude tour in Werchter, it was my first P-concert so I have great memories of that concert. But..the show was short and I was lucky that I got in2 the circle in front of the stage, because Werchter isn't the best place 2 watch a concert when you're somewhere in the crowd. And even though I live in Belgium, it isn't the easiest place 2 get 2 from Bruges. But I'll stop complaining and I hope I will get my hands on some tickets (I was 2 late when he visited our country during the One Night..tour) and since I'm home thursday I will have a good chance. See y'all in Werchter!! Love4oneanother

It will take place at the spot of the festival, but it's a different date if i'm correct. (Still a huge place. I have seen Pink Floyd there, that was OK. Don't know if it is a good spot for Prince. deffo not when it's raining). But don't have to think it over and over myself, i'm on holiday by that time Wish everybody who will attend a perfect evening .
