Apparently they were filming the show for an upcoming DVD - I am not there but this is what they are telling me from Montreux.

hey , some great pix in the meantime! no that was not the end, after that he did: She Spoke 2 Me I Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore Love like Jazz and a fantastic version of All the Critics Love U in ... Montreux / New York, interspersed with Housequake encores: In a Large Room With No Light Purple Rain (thereby completing the set I had predicted at the beginning, lol) I think that was it. Another 90 min Not long but he rocked hard in a funky place. No, no jokes and not a lot of talking generally. I must say, I think there were real visibility issues for the people having standing tickets downstairs. Or am I just spoiled from the O2 where u could see really well from every seat? I had no better view of him from the back, still through hands and mostly blocked by taller people. The stage is the right height for an audience sitting down but I'm guessing they took the chairs out to pack more of us in there. Fair enough, they had their costs to cover, but I mostly watched the screens... that's a long way to come & a lot of money to watch some screens! ok, the atmosphere was electric & I still had a fantastic night out. nothing can beat the live music, and I do come mainly for the music... But still! one guy next to me had to sporadically lift up his girlfriend who could otherwise see zilch... That can't be right! again i thank u 4 ur reports ..both concerts have good set lists with the xception of 2 songs that didn't need 2 b played at all  man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |
